The season has started and has already proven to be very competitive. Ten games into the season each team has shown that they can play with anyone in the league. There has been no easy wins. The 2008 BWL teams are as followed:

    Brew Bags (Rob and Rocco)
    Whisky Dicks (Jimmy and Mike)
    Phillie Blunts (JoeyC and Ched)
    Knobs (Nick and John)

Through 10 games the Brew Bags have shown to be a tough team to beat with consistent hitting and pitching from both Rob and Rocco. Fielding may be a weak spot in this teams game, making a lot of outfield errors as well as bobbled balls back to the pitcher. The Whisky Dicks have been very competitive with big hits from Mike and solid pitching from Jimmy. Walking batters to second has been a weakness for the Whisky Dicks. The Philie Blunts look to be a serious contender this season with a 3-1 record through their first 4 games. Even though the season just started the Phillie blunts are not showing many weaknesses. Solid pitching from both Ched and JoeyC and some power from Ched and clutch hits from JoeyC. So far the only weakness is the lack of HR's, although Ched went deep last night. The Knobs have made every game close right until the last out. Ahead of everyone else the Knobs have finished half of their season. Although the Knobs have very good fielding and solid hitting, they seem to have the problem of closing out games. The Knobs have blown some comfortable leads towards the end of games. In order to be a playoff team, they are going to have to fix this.

    Playoff Predictions:
    1. Phillie Blunts (9 wins)
    2. Whisky Dicks (7 wins)
    3. Knobs (6 wins)
    4. Brew Bags 6 wins)
