EASL Open 2009 Tournament
Thursday, November 26th: Tournament champions will be updated on this website within the next week.
Saturday, November 21st @ 10:10am: Field Change All games scheduled for field ER#8 have been moved to ER#11. Same times and same teams, just a field change.
Friday, November 20th @ 10:55am: Weather Change All games scheduled for field ER#10, for tonight (Friday), have been rescheduled. In addition, thanks to the rain, ER#12A is not playable on Saturday. Games have been reshuffled for the U10 bracket. Please be sure to check the new schedule.
Wednesday, November 18th @ 12:45pm: Schedule Changes. As always, there have been some last minute schedule changes. Most are minor changes (i.e. - switching fields), but some games are now at new times. All brackets except U14 have been affected. Please be sure to download the latest schedule from the [ALL Forms] section.
Sunday, November 15th @ 7:30pm: Girls Tournament. The schedules have been posted in the [ALL Forms] section for the Girls Open. Please keep checking here for any last minute changes.
Sunday, November 15th @ 7:10pm: The boys tournament is over. Despite the sloppy fields, all games were completed. It will take a few weeks to get the website updated with results and pictures as the focus will now shift to the Girls Open this coming weekend. Thanks to all who participated.
Saturday, November 14th @ 6:30pm: Field change for Sunday All games scheduled for field ER#6, for Sunday, must be moved because of the field condition. The changes affect the U8 Gold, U10 Silver and U10 Bronze divisions. Please be sure to check the new schedule. Coaches affected will be called.
Saturday, November 14th @ 8:50am: All games are being played as scheduled. No delays or cancellations at this time. Field conditions are wet, but playable.
Friday, November 13th @ 4:00pm: Schedule update The U8 Gold, U10 Silver and U10 Bronze have all had a schedule change to reflect tonight's cancellations. You can download a new schedule from the [ALL Forms] section. Be sure you get the lastest schedule for these brackets. Some teams now only have an hour break between games. This was unavoidable. All other brackets have not been affected. Games on ER#9 are still being played tonight starting at 6PM
Friday, November 13th @ 12:30pm: Weather update. Because of the rain today, all games scheduled for tonight on ER#10 have been cancelled. All games on ER#9 are still going to be played as scheduled. The cancellations affect the U8 and U10 age groups. Revised schedules will be posted as soon as possible. Even if this cancellation does not affect your team, it may affect your bracket. Please be sure to get the latest information.
Additional rain may force reschedule of ER#9 games as well. Keep checking here for updates.
Friday, November 13th @ 7:15am: Today is the start of the boys open. As of right now, there are no weather-related changes. However, this could change throughout the day. please keep checking here frequently for updates.
When you come for the tournament, please remember the following:
1. Make sure you check in before your first game. One point will be deducted for coaches who do not check in. Please be sure to have our roster/waiver signed by all parents.
2. Ref fees are $25 per game, per team (U18 is $30). Please bring the exact amount to the refs because they will not have change.
3. If you are playing on the turf field (ER#9), only coaches and players are allowed on the field and you may only take water onto the field.

Wednesday, November 11th @ 8:45pm: Once again the weather appears to be threatning the boys tournament. As of right now, there are no changes to the current schedule. Please keep checking back here for updates... and think dry thoughts!
Monday, November 9th @ 2:00pm: Eastern Regional Park management required us to switch the 6PM and 9PM Friday games. The U10 Bronze teams scheduled for 6PM will now play at 9PM. Conversely, the U8 Gold game scheduled for 9PM will be played at 6PM. Sorry for the confusion. Please be sure to get the latest schedule for these brackets.
Sunday, November 8th @ 3:30pm: Eastern Regional Park management required us to move all games scheduled for Sunday on field ER#8 to another field. There are only 3 games on ER#8 and affects U16 Silver, U14 Gold and U12 Silver. This is a lateral move to another field at Eastern Regional and does not affect the playing time or the teams involved. Please be sure to get the latest schedule for these brackets.
Sunday, November 8th: A revised schedule for the U10 Silver Boys has been posted. Two of the Lazer team were backwards. They've been corrected. This does not affect the schedule for any games in this bracket. Only the teams were switched. Please be sure to get a new copy of the schedule for this bracket. It indicates the revision just below the title.
Saturday, November 7th: Boys Schedules are now complete and have been posted in the [All Forms] area. We received a lot of requests to schedule/not schedule teams during certain times because of conflicts. All attempts were made to accommodate everyone's request. Now that the schedule is complete, no changes can be made. Please be sure that you keep checking here for any last-minute information or changes that may occur. Also, you must check in your team prior to your first game and you must have our roster/waiver completed and signed by all player's parents.
Wednesday, November 4th: Brackets will be finalized today for the Boys Open. Schedules will be developed and should be available on Sunday.
Tuesday, November 3rd: Tournament Rules
The tournament rules have been posted and are available to download right here. Please read the rules prior to your first game and be sure that all players and assistant coaches understand them.
There are some changes from last year's rules. Those changes are:
- Teams will now be awarded 4 points for a shutout win.
- Additional items have been added to determine a winner in the event of a total point tie.
- This year, there is no make-up weekend in the event of a severe weather cancellation.
- Coaches must turn in the team roster/waiver before the first game. Failure to do so will result in the loss of 1 point from the team total. It must be our roster/waiver. Rosters from other programs will not be accepted.
Please read and understand all of the rules.
Monday, October 26th: We still are accepting entries for
both the boys and girls tournaments. Please get your entry in as soon as possible.
Thursday, October 15th: Tournament shirts can be pre-ordered
at a discount price. You can download the form
right here or head to the [All Forms] section to get a copy.
Thursday, September 24th: The Team rosters and waivers
are now available in the [All Forms] area. All team players must have a parents
signature in order to play.
Monday, July 27th: For those teams that are U-12 and would
be playing in the Gold Division, we want to offer the 8v8 format. If you fall into
this category and want to play 8v8, submit your entry form, with payment, and indicate
in the "notes" section that you want 8v8. If at least 4 teams want 8v8, then we'll
use that format. If we do not have enough teams entered to play 8v8, then you will
be given the option to play 11v11. If your team cannot play 11v11 or you choose
not to play in that format, a full refund will be issued. This is the only circumstance
in which a refund will be given. You will be notified once the 8v8 bracket has been
established. This applies only to U-12 Gold. For more information, or clarification,
please email the tournament director.
Wednesday, July 8th: The tournament dates are as follows:
Boys will be November 13, 14 and 15th. Girls will be November 20, 21, and 22nd.
The dates are listed on the tournament flyer and entry forms found in the [All Forms]
section.
Monday, June 29th: We realize that a lot of Maryland soccer
leagues are moving to an 8v8 format for the U-12 age group. For this year's tournament,
we will be considering using 8v8, for U-12, in the Gold division. If you are a coach
and you fall into this category, please email the tournament director at
easlopen@gmail.com.
Wednesday, June 17th: The tournament entry for is now available in the [All
Forms] section or can be downloaded
right here. Please be sure to read and understand the information before entering
your team.
