East Islip Ice Hockey Club

|
Welcome to the East Islip Ice Hockey Club for 2009-2010. We invite all members and fans to be a part of one the premier ice hockey organizations on Long Island. We consist of almost 80 players from the East Islip & Islip School Districts.

Tuition reminder:
Tuition amounts were set and everyone was emailed the amounts along with the expected payment schedule. In order for our organization to keep paying for practice ice and league fee installments, we need everyone to be making the required payments each month. Anyone that feels they need to be on a payment plan needs to contact me to set something up. Please don't wait until it's too late to find out that you are too far behind. We will be enforcing suspensions this year for failure to pay tuition installments on time.
Tuition Guidelines:
Month of Oct: Varsity tuition balances s/b less than $560 and JV/Freshmen s/b less than $800.
Month of Nov: Varsity tuition balances s/b less than $360 and JV/Freshmen s/b less than $600.
Month of Dec: Varsity tuition balances s/b less than $160 and JV/Freshmen s/b less than $400.
Month of Jan: All Varsity must be paid up. JV/Freshmen should now owe less than $200
Month of Feb: All Club members must be fully paid up.
Those who made prior arrangements with a payment plan will be OK, as long as they make the agreed payment every month.
Total players NOT current with tuition as of 11/21/09:
Varsity: 5
Jr Varsity: 2
Fresh Red: 6
Fresh White: 3
Total tuition owed to club: $27,960.62
As per our current by-laws (see below), we could enforce suspensions the end of October. The above Tuition Guidelines schedule is fair considering we have asked for payments since June.
Article VIII: Fees
B) Fees will be due and payable as follows: An amount to be determined by the Board at the time of tryouts with all but $25 refundable if not picked for a team. Half of the balance due by September 30th, the balance by October 31st. If full payment is not made by October 31st the Board must act on this matter, i.e. suspension.

ALL PLAYERS:
January 4, 2009
Full equipment is required, that means mouth piece and neck guard. The league has a strict no jewelry rule. Please leave it at home the night of your game. The referees are cracking down on the wearing of the mouth guard, no mouth guard means a 2 and 10. Shooting the puck after the buzzer is a 10 minute penalty.
Please have the courtesy to call your coach if you are unable to make a practice or game. All phone numbers are listed on the side menu bar.
Practice time is to be used by the specified team only!! No other players are to enter the ice unless asked by the coaches to join them.
ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS/PARENTS (UPDATED)
February 18, 2009
All Players, Parents & Coaches, please take time to read over our updated By-Laws to become familiar with the rules of our club.
If a player or parent has a complaint about ANYTHING, our By-Laws state that you should first bring it up with your Team Rep (parent) who will contact our GM to bring the board together on it. A player with a problem can discuss it with the coach. It is best not to do this during a game when the coach may not have your full attention. Also realize that if you wait till the next day, you may see things differently than you did during a game.
As you all may know, we are here to play hockey and not to fool around in the lockers or the lobby area. Anyone that feels they can't abide by our club guidelines should not be a member in this club.
Our Code of Conduct Agreement was setup as a means to let everyone know that the club is serious about the way we handle ourselves in this league. This agreement will be read and signed by everyone in the club.
The league has informed us that under NO circumstance can a parent enter the ice. If your child needs you, an authorized person will escort you onto the ice. Coaches are also asked to stay on the bench unless called over. According to League rules, only authorized people may enter the locker rooms. No parent may enter a locker room. Only personnel that had a NYS Screening form approved may enter a locker room.
If you need to bring your child equipment, etc.. you can knock on the door and have someone bring it to them.
A friendly reminder that The Rinx has a policy that no outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility. The snack bar is there for this purpose.
