I did tell you all that I would update you after regionals.
I would like to congratulate our 7U state champion football team for their efforts at regionals. They played a very strong game from start to finish. They couldn't quite squeak out the win but what a great season they had. Good luck next year boys.
I would also like to congratulate the Div 13 Spirit Squad for their performance at regionals. They did not place but they hit their routine nicely and they had a very successful year. I really like this group and I wish them all luck next year.
Also congratulations to the Division 10 Spirit Squad for taking first place at regionals and becoming the very first Hudson-Litchfield Spirit team to do so. Good luck at Nationals girls. Great Job coaches!!!
I have recently received some complaints about our election process. I feel the need to remind you that we are all volunteers and many of us (including myself) are addressing the election process for the first time. Our by-laws require us to have each candidate approved by the board. This is what we did. The board reviewed each candidate and voted as they each saw fit. I respected their votes and submitted the ballot as voted upon. I realize some people did not make it on to the ballot and I understand your disappointment but we are simply proceeding per our by-laws and as we have proceeded in the past. Two of my closest friends submitted their names and did not make it onto the ballot. I do see ways we can improve the procedure and I have submitted those suggestions to the board for consideration at next year's board meetings. I am pretty sure we all agree that the procedure can be improved but that can't happen till next year. For now we have no choice but to proceed as we have been.
I have been up front with all of you for the entire time that I have been president. I never made a single decision that I didn't feel was in the best interest of the program or the kids. If anyone would like to know how or why I voted on any particular subject, I will be happy to tell you.
