2007 12U EAST NATIONAL SUPER SERIES CHAMPIONS

We would like to thank you and welcome you to the 2008-2009 Keller BLAZE Select 14U Baseball web site. 2008 was a year that we will NEVER forget! Our team placed second in league play, placed second in 4 tournaments and placed first in the 2008 AAYBA Championship Bronze division. The goals for this is to prepare the team for high school baseball which they all will be playing in 2010. The Keller Blaze would like to congratulate and welcome the following boys and their families to our 2009 14U AAA Select Baseball Team.

The KELLER BLAZE go 7-0 in the 12U East National Super Series Tournament to bring home the Championship to Keller, Texas! In the 7 games, our boys outscored there opponents 78-22. Congratulations to the entire BLAZE team for believing and supporting each other. Everyone on this team deserves to be a CHAMPION and worked so hard to get there! Special tournament awards given to Matthew (Ice-Man) Gosnell - Tournament MVP and Brenden (Rodeo) Keany, Garrett (G-Lake) Lakey, Luke (Big Boy) Young, Trae (Fezz) Patterson for making the National Championship ALL-TOURNAMENT Team 2007.
Every boy deserved to be on the ALL-TOURNAMENT team. We have never seen a team play like the BLAZE did this past week. It was 7 games of complete domination!! Here is the way our week went:
Pool Play Game 1 - 10-4 over the Arkansas Vipers
Pool Play Game 2 - 10-5 over the Collierville Express
Pool Play Game 3 - 14-3 over the Oklahoma Titans

Game 3 - 8-4 over Arkansas Vipers

Blaze Baseball - 10 Commandments for Making PLAYS and Not EXCUSES
1. Nobody ever becomes a ballplayer by walking after a ball.
2. You will never become a 300 hitter unless you take the bat off your shoulder.
3. If what you did yesterday still looks big to you, you have not done much today.
4. Keep your head up and you may not have to keep it down.
5. When you start to slide, slide. He who changes his mind may have to change a good leg for a bad one.
6. Do not make excuses on bad hops. Anyone can field the easy hops.
7. Always run them out. You never can tell what will happen.
8. Never, Never Quit!
9. Don't find too much fault with the umpires. You cannot expect them to be perfect; after all, we make a whole lot more errors.
10. A pitcher who hasn't control hasn't anything.
Blaze Baseball - MAKE PLAYS - NOT EXCUSES
You know you're a baseball player when....
1. You can't recognize your teammates without their batting helmets on.
2. Your friends stop asking you to do stuff because you're always at practice.
3. Bugs die of chalk poisoning when they land on your skin.
4. You learn how to spit 15 different ways.
5. Your mom's long term goal is to return your baseball pants to their original color.
6. You get really happy when you hear the phrase "getting the runner into a pickle."
7. If someone asks you if you have any siblings, you start listing teammates.
8. You sweat infield dirt even after showering.
9. When someone says "fly", you look up instead of down.
10. And when someone yells "Four" you turn to throw home; instead of ducking!!!
