Directions to MVP Sports Complex
Take Southern State Parkway to exit 32S (Route 110). Follow Route 110 approximately 1.5 miles to Sunrise Highway (27) East. Follow Sunrise Highway approximately 1.5 miles to New Highway and make a u-turn heading back west. Once you pass Consumer's Kitchens and Bath, make a right on Decker Street.
15 & 16 Fall Team--Field Change!!
Weather permitting, the 15/16u team will play Sunday, 11/8, against the Farmingdale White Sox at HOWITT MIDDLE SCHOOL at 9:00am. All players should arrive to the field by 8:15am. Any problems, please email or call Coach Stanga or Coach Towers ASAP!!!
18 Under Fall
The 18u will continue for the next two weekends (weather permitting). The team will play this Sunday, 11/8 beginning at 12:30pm at Barasch Field in RVC. All players should report by 11:45am. Any problems, call Coach Connors ASAP!!!
2009 HITTING PROGRAM
I have put together an intense hitting program that guarantees you will improve your swing.
I will be offering to all of our players the opportunity to hit once a week with me for seven consecutive weeks beginning the first week in November at:

We will be hitting in groups of 4 or less. With the smaller groups, it will give me the opportunity to really concentrate on and improve your mechanics. The groups will be set up
as follows:
TUES OR THURS
Group 1: 6PM – 7PM
Group 2: 7PM – 8PM
Group 3: 8PM – 9PM
YOU MUST EMAIL ME AT LISOUNDBASEBALL@HOTMAIL.COM ASAP IF YOU ARE INTERESTED SO THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO SET UP THE SCHEDULE.
The fee is a very reasonable $225 for 7 one-hour sessions.
Groups will be formed with consideration to age and skill level.

CONGRATULATIONS to the L.I.B.A. CHAMPIONS
The SOUND won the Long Island Baseball Association DeMartino Division 15-16 American CHAMPIONSHIP on Sunday August 9, defeating the Garden City Bombers 3-0 in the finals following an exciting 1-0 nine inning semi-final defeat of the #1 seeded Storm Academy American on Saturday August 8.
CONGRATS!!!
Congrats to Cory Harrilchak who was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 14th round. He has been assigned to the Danville Braves ("A" Rookie Ball) He is the first LI Sound player to get drafted!
Congratulations also to current LI Sound player Kevin Chenicek (Division Ave. HS) on winning the Diamond Award (top pitcher in Nassau County) as voted by the Nassau County HS Baseball Coaches.
Congrats to Josh Sharpe of the 18 under team who won the base running competition at Baseball Heaven's Independence Day Tournament on July 2, 3009
2008 Summer Highlights
18u in NABF World Series!!
The 18u Long Island Sound team is bound for the 2008 NABF World Series in Jackson, Mississippi after winning the Northeast Regional hosted in Albany, NY. The team completed a remarkable regional run by defeating the NY 9's 10-6 in the championship game.
This marks the first time in Sound history that a team will advance on to a World Series after claiming a Regional championship!
