Molalla Youth Sports is grateful to our volunteers, for their willingness to contribute to our programs and our young participants. Committed volunteers are our greatest asset in accomplishing our program goals.

Our coaches are dedicated to developing young athletes by teaching, in a safe and positive environment, the skills and character necessary to be successful in the game and life. Our players’ experience in MYS shall be both challenging and rewarding as they learn the rules of the game, sound fundamentals, positive attitude, commitment, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

The Past ~ Present ~ Future of Molalla Youth Sports
Founded in 1981 by community members committed to all youth, Molalla Youth Sports, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that functions similar to a tax funded Parks and Recreation District, yet we rely on registration fees, sponsorships and donations to operate 14 youth athletic programs year-round.

In our 28th year, on behalf of the youth and families we serve, MYS respectfully requests your support in sponsoring our communities’ youth sports programs, while at the same time advertising your business.

In 2008, MYS had 106 teams with 260 head and assistant coaches, 32 programs’ representatives and committee members (MYS and MHS), countless team parents, 2 officials’ schedulers and 5 officials’ mentors volunteering their time to 1,075 youth athletes.

New for 2009: Soccer / Classic Futsal Academy

MYS provides uniforms, equipment, fields/gyms preparations-maintenance, insurance, State/County/League fees and porta-potties for all participants, as well as, coaching clinics / manuals for our coaches and training / game assignments for our officials to include MYS and MHS athletes.

All administrative and sports program operations are governed by a 7 member volunteer Board of Directors. MYS has one full-time paid employee to facilitate office administration and program operations.

To assist all of our families from having to choose between life’s necessities and their children’s extra curricular activities, MYS provides financial support through the MYS Scholarship Fund receiving its proceeds from donations provided by businesses, organizations and individuals in the community. Our goal is that every dollar we receive is spent to meet the needs of the youth in the community.

In 2005, MYS implemented our Cleats Exchange. Families may bring in clean, used pairs of Baseball / Softball / Soccer cleats to exchange for another size or donate. Families may purchase a pair of used cleats for $3.00 or free to families requesting scholarship assistance. A program well received by our family’s giving them a cost savings between $30.00 and $90.00. All monies collected from the Cleats Exchange goes into the MYS Scholarship Fund.

Over the past 27 years, MYS has provided athletic programs to over 15,000 participants, and your gift to Molalla Youth Sports and our communities programs greatly helps to support our continuing efforts to provide affordable supervised recreation that instills important skills and values in impressionable young lives.

We hope you will consider being a 2009 Sponsor, supporting the youth of Molalla. Thank you.

In 2009, MYS is the proud recipient of $1000.00 from Molalla Communications, $900.00 from Bank of America / United Way on behalf of Joyce E. Taylor, $730.54 from Oregon Education Association on behalf of Jared Mlynczyk, $300.00 from NIKE on behalf of Jerris Marr and $100.00 from Ad Specialties on behalf of Arnie Kirkham targeted toward providing financial assistance to our youth and families.
