TROY JETBOX CAPTURES NSPBA WORLD SERIES
In a series that featured great pitching nearly everyday, Troy Jetbox got 10 innings of it from Josh Rebandt in 80 degree heat and wrapped up the Series title with a 7-6 win over Flint Halo-Foutch on Sunday.
There were plenty of hero's in the long hot afternoon that saw the score swing back and forth until the top of the 10th with 2 outs when Tim Frankhouse delivered a single up the middle to provide the winning margin. Rebandt closed out the bottom of the 10th and Jetbox owned the World Series title.
Flint forced a second game on Sunday when Dan Fyvie tossed a shutout at Jetbox, beating them 4-0.
There were a total of 4 shutouts in the series and Rebandt was chosen World Series MVP

Troy Jetbox and Flint Halo-Foutch 1st Day Winners
Troy Jetbox squeeked past the Manistee Saints 1-0 in the opener of the 2008 National Semi Pro Baseball Association World Series on Thursday, and Flint Halo-Foutch beat the Detroit Metro Tigers 10-0 behind the no-hit pitching of Chad Logan.
In the series opener, Jetbox's Kyle Hill bested the Saints Lee Rodney in a great pitchers duel. Hill allowed two hits, while Rodney allowed just one which drove in the games only run in the 5th inning.
Flint scored early and often in the nightcap, and Logan dominated Detroit in completing his gem.
The Series resumes tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Rietz Park in Manistee.
Saints Lose to Flint 6-1, Jetbox defeats Tigers 2-0
The Manistee Saints dropped a 6-1 decision to Flint Halo-Foutch in the NSPBA World Series on Friday, eliminating them from play on championship Sunday. The win assured Flint of a spot on championship day. Flint scored an unearned run in the first inning and then rode the 4 hit pitching of Scott Roy to the win.
Clint Druckenmiller started for the Saints and was charged with the loss.
In the Friday's first game, Troy Jetbox stayed in the hunt for the Series title with a 2-0 win over Detroit Metro Tigers. Former major league pitcher Mark Dewey went the distance for Jetbox to pick up the win, while the Tigers used 3 different pitchers.
The World Series continues at Rietz Park on Saturday with Manistee vs Detroit at 1 pm and Jetbox vs Flint at 4 pm.
Jetbox Takes Command in Series; Metro Tigers win Consolation
The Manistee Saints dropped another 1 run decision in the consolation game of the NSPBA World Series on Saturday, losing to the Detroit Metro Tigers 2-1. The Saints clung to a 1-0 lead through 6 innings on the 2 hit pitching of Ross Westdorp when the Tigers erupted for 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to steal the win. Greg Meyer knocked in the Saints only run, while Dave White's single scored the winning run for Detroit,
following a Nick Demers homer and a double by Adam Kaminski.
In the nightcap on Saturday, it took Troy Jetbox extra innings to defeat Flint Halo-Foutch by a 3-2 score. Vic Breithaupt singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning to give Jetbox the win, with Clint LaFontaine picking up the win. Tim McDonald was charged with the loss.
It's Championship Sunday for the National Semi Pro Baseball Association World Series on Sunday, with Flint (2-1) needing to sweep
Jetbox (3-0) to win the Series. Game time at Rietz Park is noon.
