For the Spring 2008 season, we have four teams. The Storm and The Thunder play in the PeeWee division of the CYSL, The Cyclones play in the CYSL Junior B division and The Hurricanes play in the CYSL Junior A division.
Soccer Rules for Parents

Soccer Rules – Got Questions? Don’t understand certain rules of the game? Often wonder why a referee made a call in a certain way? Don’t assume that you are correct and that the referee is wrong. Don’t harass the referee. Leave discussions with the referees to the coaches. Keep it to yourself and check it out later. Please understand that a number of the rules can be subjective in nature and may vary from referee to referee (especially in regard to Laws 11 – Offsides & 12 – Fouls and Misconduct). Referee abuse WILL NOT be tolerated. Remember, referees are people too and make mistakes just like you. A more informed spectator may come to understand why a referee may or may not have blown their whistle.
Below are a couple of resources that can be used to become more familiar with soccer’s rules.

For a more extensive explanation, check out the FIFA Laws of the Game 2006. FIFA is the international governing body for Soccer rules. The HTML version of the Laws of the Game 2006 on their website provides a nice interactive menu system for quick review.
