Pinellas Park 8U WINS THE WORLD SERIES!!! THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT WAS INVOLVED!!!

Update from State Tournament
July 2, 2008 - 10:00 AM
After several days of rain, games finally began again on Tuesday.
7U Update:
Tuesday - Perdido Bay defeated Pinellas again to eliminate them from the tournament. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and parents for representing Pinellas Park!
Saturday: The 7U team lost a 1 run game against Perdido Bay today. They won their 2nd game.
8U Update:
Wednesday 8:30PM - Pinellas Park defeated Northwest for the state title 11-10. The TEAM really pulled together. Cavan was sick during the game. Cody played 1st, Scott in Left. Dekovin hit the game-winning shot to score Garrett in the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs!!!
Wednesday 5:30PM - Pinellas Park defeated Bill Bond 16-15. Great Game
Tuesday - Pinellas Park played a great game against Northwest defeating them 18-10. Great offense and defense. The game was very close the entire time. In the Top of the 6th innning, Pinellas Park scored 7 runs to close it out. Next game is Wednesday @ 5:30PM against Bill Bond.
Saturday: The 8U Team played at 8AM this morning. They had to be at the field at 6:30AM. They defeated BRENT by a score off 11 - 0. In their 2nd game @ 2PM, they defeated Lynn Haven 15 - 0. Great job by the team by not allowing any runs!!!! Batting has been led by Cavan w/ 4 Doubles and a Triple. Justin has been bunting his way to 1st throughout. Aaron had a great day batting too w/ 3 Doubles! Fielding has been a strong team effort. Dante has made several great snags at 3rd, while the outfield continue to catch everything hit their way!
7U Team WINS District 5!

Congratulations to the 7U Team for winning the District 5 tournament. Great job! Good luck as you prepare for the State Tournament. (Click on Game Results and Teams on the left side for all the stats. Look for the 2008 7U Team.)
The 7U started their Pony District Tournament on Saturday. They defeated Wellswood. Their next game is Wednesday.
The 8U team came in 2nd Place in the District 5 tournament. Great job!

Thursday: Gardendale Maroon won back-to-back games against Boynton to win the championship. (Scores were 7-2 and 7-3).

Congratulations to the 8U team for a great post season!!! The team won 14 games and lost 6 (to Navarre 3 times). They outscored their opponents 240-156. They tied for 13th place in the tournament. Great job representing Pinellas Park!!!

9:30AM - Navarre eliminated Pinellas Park from the tournament by a score of 9-3.

Monday:
The 7U team was eliminated today from the tournament. They ended tied for 13th. They made a great showing with a record of 3 wins/3 losses. Great job team. We are very proud of you!
Pinellas Park lost to Dayton (Tennessee State Champs) 17-15. (This is the team that eliminated Pinellas Park in last years 6U tournament.)
Sunday (Double Elimination Tournament Begins):
Game 1: Pinellas Park lost a close game to Wills Park 12-9.
Game 2: Pinellas Park defeated the XPlosion 18-3. The bats came alive for Pinellas Park, including a Home Run by Cavan, a triple by Cody, and a double by Chase.
Saturday:
Game 3 - Pinellas Park lost a close game against the Boynton Bulldogs 14-9.
Friday:
Game 1 - Pinellas Park defeated Acworth 19-4. Great defensive effort by all.
Game 2 - Pinellas Park defeated Hixson Black 9-8. It was a tough game that went the distance. We scored 1 run in the bottom of 6th with 2 outs to win.
There are 48 - 7U teams from 6 different states at the World Series. Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisianna, Florida, Alabama, & Georgia. "Pool Play" will consist of 3 games. 2 on Friday & 1 on Saturday.
6U World Series
Thursday:
Canton Stingers defeated Boynton Blue for the championship.

Sunday:
The 6U team lost their first 2 games in bracket play to the Clinton Arrows and Limestone Legends and were eliminated from the tournament. The 6U team had a great year and we thank the team for representing Pinellas Park Pony Baseball!
The 6U team went 2-1 in pool play.
Saturday:
Game 1: Pinellas Park lost to Ringgold 7-22. They won Game 2.
Friday:
Game 1: Pinellas Park defeated Chickamauga Blue 20-14.
Game 2: 2:30PM - RAIN OUT! They will play 2 games on Saturday.
There are 48 teams at the Series. The Pinellas Park team won the Banner Competition on day 1. They have 5 teams in their pool. The play 2 games on Friday.
State Tournmanets Completed
Congratulations to all of the Pinellas Park All Star Teams for making a great showing at their State Tournaments. Good luck to all teams as they move toward the World Series Tournaments.
The 6UA team placed 2nd in state.

Wednesday, July 18th:
Championship Game against Navarre @ 6PM.
In a very close game, Navarre scored 7 runs in the 4th inning to beat Pinellas Park 9-3. Congratulations to the Pinellas Park 8U Team for placing 2nd out of a field of 12 teams!
Tuesday, July 17th:
Pinellas Park won back to back games against Lynn Haven (16-8) and Tiger Point (19-17).
Monday, July 16th:
On Monday, the 8U Team defeated Seminole 11 - 1. They will continue their single elimination tournament on Tuesday @ 3PM.
Sunday, July 15th:
On Sunday, the team went 1-1 again with a win over Fossil Park and a loss against Navarre.
Saturday, July 14th:
On Saturday, the 8U team went 1-1 with a win over Wildwood and loss against Bill Bond.
Friday, July 13th:
The 8U team started their tournament with the skills competition on Friday night. Max placed 1st in the Home Run Derby. Brandon placed 3rd. Bryce placed 1st in the bunting contest. Congratulations!

7U Team WINS STATE!!!
July 9, 2007
The 7U Team went undefeated in the State Tournament defeating their opponents by a score of 58 - 14!!! In the final game, the outfield took control of the game with Scott catching 3 pop flies and Aaron with a diving catch. The final game score was 18-5. The 7U will defend the state title at the World Series next weekend in Atlanta.
6U & 7U State Tournament - Gulf Breeze
The 6U "A-Team" placed 2nd in the State Tournament!!! They lost back-to-back games against Gulf Breeze. The 6U "B-Team" made a great showing at State placing 3rd.
The 7U Team won all 3 games to take the State Title!!!
Game 2 Highlights: Cavan hit a Grand Slam Home Run over the Left Field fence in the 2nd inning. Chase caught the first two hits of the game in Right-Center Field. Garrett had a great day in the field with 3 Put-Outs and 2 Assists. Pinellas Park didn't allow any runs in the final 2 innings to close out the game.
