Purple Power! Purple Pride! Purple Rain '99!
Welcome to the home of Purple Rain ‘99, a U11 competitive soccer team. This is our third season playing in the Purple Rain all-girls soccer club, which is a member of the Koinonia Soccer Association (KSA). Our goal is to develop player skills on and off the playing field, as individuals and as a team, with a focus on positive personal growth and the joy of playing the game of soccer! Purple Rain 99 earns 9th Championship Title at the Crossroads Academy Tournament!
November 8, 2009 Once again Purple Rain 99 stormed past the competition at the Crossroads tournament in Jackson, MS. Their competition included Mississippi Fire East (4-0), Mississippi Fire 99 blue (2-2), and GTFC Strikers 99 (2-0). They won the championship game handily beating Mississippi Fire East 7-1.

Purple Rain 99 Finalist in Girls U12 division at the MIdsouth Select Fall Championship
October 5, 2009 Playing UP in the girls U12 division was the challenge our girls needed. The girls fought hard through the torrential rains. Congratulations on a 2nd place finish!

Purple Rain 99 once again Tournament Finalists in Fall Season Opener
Purple Rain 99 played a great Grrrls Fall Championship tournament. They handled Rush 99 Nike 4-1, Mississippi Fire 99 5-0, and Jackson Futbol club 4-0 before losing a close one to the Collierville Lady Lobos 99 1-2. Way to go girls!

Purple Rain 99 earns 8th Championship title at the Grrrls Spring Championship!
April 26, 2009 2008 Defending Champions win again at the 2009 Grrrls Spring Championship at Mike Rose in Memphis. The 99 girls grabbed wins against the Murfreesboro Strikers - Tennessee (4-1) and Claremore Soccer Club - Oklahoma (3-0) in pool play before handling the Lady Lobos - Tennessee (4-1) in the semi finals. Their most impressive win came in the finals against the Missouri Lightning (6-1). Way to go girls!!!

Purple Rain 99 Earns 7th Championship Title at the Adidas Blues City Blowout!
March 15, 2009 Congrats to Purple Rain 99 on a fantastic tournament. Our girls secured bracket wins against Harpeth Futbol Club of Nashville (5-3), WC Arsenal of Missouri (3-1), Bartlett SC of Memphis (7-1), and then stormed through the finals beating SGSC Aston Villa of Missouri (1-0).

Purple Rain 99 Earns 6th Championship Title at the CSA Wolf River Classic
October 26, 2008 Purple Rain 99 earned their 6th championship title at the CSA Wolf River Classic with wins over the Southern Illinois Hawks, Bartlett 99, Memphis Futbol Club 99, and Lady Lobos 99. Way to go girls!!!

Purple Rain '99 Garners 5th U9 Championship Title
April 27, 2008 Purple Rain '99 garnered their 5th U9 championship title at the Grrrls Elite Spring soccer tournament in Memphis. To capture the U9 Gold championship title, Purple Rain '99 maintained their purple power through four round-robin games, that included two shut outs against SMSC Lightning MO (3:0) and WKYFC 99 KY (2:0) and two games played in cold pouring rain! Just like the weather, Purple Rain stormed on the competition!

Purple Rain Storms Across GA for 4th U9 Championship Title!
February 17, 2008 The forecast in Marietta, Georgia, called for stormy weather, but the Adidas Cobb Classic U9 tournament was surprised to be overtaken by a different kind of storm -- a mighty, mighty purple storm called the Purple Rain '99 from Memphis (the only out-of-state team in the U9 bracket)! It was a clean sweep as the Purple Rain '99 shut out all of its opponents, Cherokee Impact (6-0), Norcross Fury (3-0), Cobb FC Lady Chiefs (3-0), and the Roswell Santos (6-0). Once again, Purple Rain's speed of play and footskills outpaced the competition, resulting in the team's fourth U9 championship title. The Purple Rain proved it packs a lot of power behind its storm! Go PURPLE!

Purple Rain ’99 Remains Undefeated in U9 Tournaments with Third Championship Title!
October 21, 2007 - 04:00 PM Purple Rain ’99 proved its power with its third U9 championship title at the Murray Calloway U9 Invitational in Murray, KY. In its first game, Purple Rain put out the heat in the SI Heat’s (IL) game in a 5-0 shut out. Purple Rain continued to dominate pool play, storming over MCC Elite (KY) and shutting out WKYFC ’98 (KY) to easily earn a place in the championship game. In the fourth and final game, Purple Rain’s aggressive speed of play overpowered the Lady Wolves ’99 (Jackson, TN), resulting in a third U9 championship title for the Purple Rain record. Purple Rain’s impressive record (scoring 21 goals and only allowing four goals) at the tournament earned the team the nickname of the “Purple People Eaters” by the competition! Keep storming Purple Rain!

Purple Rain '99 Earned U9 Championship Title at TNFC Fall Classic
September 23, 2007 Purple Rain ’99 earned its second U9 Championship title at the TNFC Fall Classic in Franklin, TN. Despite not having a full roster, Purple Rain ’99 maintained a strong presence in all three games. In its first two games, Purple Rain took on the TN Futbol Club ’99 Blue and the Impact USA ’99 Nike teams, both from the Franklin, TN, area. In the third and final game, Purple Rain finished strong locking out the Huntsville (AL) Samba ’99 team (4-0) and claiming the U9 Gold Championship title. Go Purple Power!

Purple Rain ’99 is U9 Champion at CSA Fall Invitational!
August 26, 2007 Purple Rain ’99 stormed into the season with a mighty blast, earning the girls’ U9 championship title at the Collierville Soccer Association Fall Invitational tournament. With a strong defense and a fast and aggressive offense, Purple Rain dominated pool play with three consecutive wins that shut out the competition! En route to the championship game, Purple Rain beat the Lady Lobos ‘99, the Lady Wolves ‘99 (Jackson, TN), and the Fury ‘99. In the championship game, Purple Rain played hard against MFC ’99, adding a fourth game win and our first tournament championship title to our record. Throughout the tournament, Purple Rain scored 14 goals and didn’t allow any goals the entire weekend! Way to play Purple Rain ’99!
