Homecoming Bonfire Wednesday night at LoneStar Motor Speedway!
The 2nd Annual Sabine Homecoming Bonfire sponsored by the Sabine Athletic Booster Club will take place Wednesday night in the South parking lot of Lonestar Motor Speedway. The north gate will be open at 7pm, We will light the fire somewhere between 8:15 & 8:30 to give the all of the church groups time to get there. Be sure to arrive early! Last years' event was packed and this year promises to be even bigger! The SABC will be serving free hotdogs, but supply is limited! Come out and show your support for the Cards as they prepare to defend the home turf against the Beckville Bearcats!

Sabine earns non-district sweep GLADEWATER — Jillian Calvit was perfect from the serving line (20-for-20) with 20 points, four aces, 10 assists, six digs and seven kills to lead the Sabine Lady Cardinals to a 25-22, 25-21, 25-11 sweep of Gladewater.Cassie Headley added four kills, six digs, 10 assists, six points and three aces while going 8-for-10 from the line. Kendra Whitehead had seven kills and four digs, Mallory Ford four kills, seven digs, five points and one ace, Kayln Gaines five kills, seven digs and 13 points, Lindsey Bryce 17 digs, seven points and an ace and Janell Defreece three kills and two assists.Ford was 8-for-9 serving, Gaines 16-for-17 and Bryce 9-for-12.The Lady Cardinals (15-12, 1-1) will visit White Oak on Friday. The Sabine Athletic Booster Club elected officers for the 2009-2010 school year. Tobie Turner returns as President. Todd Wright will serve as Co-President to start the year and will take over the president's duties exclusively by the end of the first semester. Kevin Moyers will once again serve as Vice President. Leigh Anne Wright also retains her office as Treasurer. Taking over for Brandy Turner as Secretary is Patti Rucker. The first meeting of the new school year covered a lot of ground and recognized many needs. The most pressing need is for new members. To be able to support all of Sabine's sports teams we must have more active members. If you would like to be an active participant of the Cardinal Nation, come attend a meeting on Monday nights at 6pm in the high school cafeteria! Sabine Athletic Booster Club meetings are held on Monday nights throughout the school year. Be sure to check the website periodically for updates and meeting times. Parents, family and friends of all sports (Boys and Girls), all grades (Jr. High and High School), and Cheer, are encouraged to attend and see what the Athletic Booster Club is all about.
