Seventh Annual Boise Harvest Classic
The Black Diamonds sent a strong, very competitive team of 10 skaters and a goalie to the Seventh Annual Harvest Classic on October 23-25, 2009 in Boise, ID. In spite of the final standings, the Diamonds played tough and competed well, and were the equal of every team they faced on the ice. The team consisted of: Ina Amber, Jen Deans, Lori Gutierrez, Kate Hendrickson, Kim Hicks, Jackie Jarvis, Jenn Lindelien, Lisa Ruskin, Susan Waytas, and Jo-Anne Lee in goal. Amy Bonn from the Park City Predators rounded out the roster.
The weekend started off with a matchup against the Boise Wildfire. After three furious periods, the game ended up in a 2-2 tie, which was decided by a shootout. The Boise team narrowly slipped their second shot into the net, and unfortunately the Diamonds shooters were unable to answer. Nevertheless, the team was proud of their effort and competitiveness against a very strong Boise team.
The second game on Saturday morning matched the Diamonds against the Lady Ice Monsters. Like deja vu, the game ended in another 2-2 tie, and went into the second shoot-out of the weekend. This time, all three of the Ice Monster shots were stopped, and Lisa Ruskin scored the winning goal for the Diamonds.
Because of the number of teams in the B division (10), the tournament organizers decided to seed the teams after only two games, and only gave credit for a win or loss (no points for a tie). This formula put the Diamonds in a game against the Wasatch Wings on Saturday afternoon, and after a tough battle against a very good Wings goalie, the Diamonds narrowly lost 2-1, and failed to advance.
In spite the final loss, the Diamonds had a great time and gained a lot of confidence to carry into the next tournament of the season.
Black Diamonds Win 1st and 2nd at 2009 Ice Breaker!

The Black Diamonds entered two teams in the 2009 Ice Breaker Tournament in Ogden on April 3-5, 2009, and took 1st Place in the A Division and 2nd in the B Division. Another successful weekend for the Black Diamonds organization!
BLACK DIAMONDS TAKE 2ND AND 3RD AT 2008 GOAL DIGGER

The Salt Lake Black Diamonds entered 2 teams, an ‘A’ and a ‘C’ Team, in the Goal Digger Tournament which took place at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex (Steiner) December 12-14, 2008.
The 'C's won the consolation game to finish 3rd and the 'A's came in 2nd after taking the championship game to a shoot-out. Both games were an exciting finish to another great weekend of hockey!
Members of both teams included: Jen Deans, Jenn Lindelien, Jo-Anne Lee (G), Erin Gould, Meredith Johnson, Dina DeMarco (G), Amanda Rosenbeck, Bobbi Schutz, Mel Williams, Tracey Anderson, Debbie Modrovsky, Shawn Winder, Liz Frank, Kim Hicks, Jacs Jarvis, Hillary Parkin, Shannon White, Meghan Mathews, Dawn Tyler, Sari Prince, Kaela Larrabee, Lori Gutierrez, Ina Amber and Dayna Geiger. The Black Diamonds are coached by: Bob Devaney, Head Coach and Assistant Coaches: Jim Miles, Rusty Tucker, Larry Nickels and Sean Dahmen.

2008 Boise Harvest Classic
The Salt Lake Black Diamonds played a late game Halloween night against the Wildfire losing 3-1. On Saturday morning the Diamonds battled the Wasatch Wings and won 1-0. After being seeded fifth due to goal differential the Diamonds played against Jackson Hole only to lose by a slim margin of one goal in the 5-4 loss.
