Uniform/Equipment Night Is Tonight
Tuesday, November 24th is uniform/equipment night. It will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, upstairs in the convent. All basketball managers must attend to pick up uniforms, basketballs, and scorebooks. Soccer and volleyball managers are to return uniforms and equipment at this time as well. If we have any soccer or volleyball teams advancing to city/county, we will make arrangements for you to turn in your uniforms and equipment at a later date.

FOR ALL MANAGERS AND COACHES WITHOUT COACHING CONCEPTS CARD
Mr. Bommarito has graciously agreed to add a North County date to his already very busy Coaches Training (Coaches Concepts) course required for all NEW coaches. This will be held at St. Ann on Natural Bridge in their parish center on November 18 starting at 6:30 pm sharp. The session should last until 9 pm.

Head Coaches/Managers for Kindergarten thru 8th grade need to attend the Coaches Training Program. The NEW Coaches CYC Photo ID Card with a Coaches ID number will not be issued at the class. Attendees will be required to submit Photo via email to CYC for the card to be sent. This is in-line with the latest CYC ID system now being administered through the website. If you are unable to email in a photo, normal mailing can be done. INSTRUCTIONS will be given to you at the class.
Exisitng Coaches who have a valid coaches card do NOT need a new photo one! It is still good.
The coaches training program is free of charge for the head coach/manager of each CYC (K-8) team. If a CYC parish Athletic Association wishes to send additional coaches or personnel, there is a cost of $15.00 (as of August 1, 2004) to cover materials and incidentals.
All coaches/volunteers must have completed the Archdiocese's Protecting God's Children workshop, which is coordinated by the Safe Environment Program, as well as have a Missouri Background check done every 2 years and have read, signed and returned to your parish the Code of Ethical Conduct.

Code of Ethics
There is now an on-line version of the Code of Ethics (required to be read, signed and submitted to Sr. Joan Galli in order to coach). Click on the underlined words Code of Ethics to access the file.
Go to the FORMS section of the website to print a Missouri background check form. Sports will pay the $9.00 fee. Please submit your form, along with a copy of your Social Security card to Sr. Joan Galli. Please mark the envelope on the front with the words Sports to Pay.
