The team will continue to play in the CCS League until its conclusion and will take part in another tournament or 2 before 2008 is over.
WILDFIRE UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS OF SOUTHWEST LEAGUE!
The Wildfire has done it again!
This team went 8-0 and won the Southwest League Championship! The girls played outstanding basketball throughout the league. A lot of players saw action, including a few of the younger players who will take the court once again in the CCS Fall League.
That win gave the Wildfire 2 Championships in 2 weeks.
Congratulations Players: Sylvia, Alexis, Lexis, Shuntrell, Raina, Marissa, Shelica, Yaritsah, Mercedes, Paloma, Arianna, Diana.
WILDFIRE WIN CHAMPIONSHIP AT WILCOX
The Wildfire's string of great basketball continued the last week of July, as the team competed in and won the Championship at the Wilcox Late Night Basketball Tournament.
The team won their 3 games, and received a huge trophy for their efforts. Sylvia Rico was tournament MVP, and Shuntrell Hayes made the All-Tournament team. However, it was a nice team effort and all the players should be congratulated on a great win.
WILDFIRE SUCCESSFUL IN NIKE TOURNAMENT
Nike Tournament Schedule
July 28, 2008 - 12:30 PM
The Wildfire had a very successful week at the Nike Tournament. The team finishedd 4-3, but that ddoes not tell the story of how well the team played. Their opponents were soume tough teams from Phoenix, and 2 out of town teams. They also had to play 3 games at 8am during the week.
This tournament proves that the Wildfire are now a legitimate AAU team, and will make a lot of noise in the future!
WILDFIRE WIN IN SAN DIEGO
The Wildfire's 2nd road trip took them to San Diego over the 4th of July weekend. The team played in the San Diego Sol Jam.
The 8th grade team got off to a slow start, but won its last 2 games to finish 3rd in the tournament.
The High school team did even better. The team played in the Championship game, finishing 2nd in the high school division.
The Wildfire will continue to play in the next few months. The high school team will play until high school practice begins, at the end of October.
The middle school team will continue to play as long as possible, hopefully even into the school season. We will see how it goes.

WILDFIRE WIN CESAR CHAVEZ TOURNAMENT
It was a great weekend for the Wildfire. The 13s team defeated the Lady Hoopers to take the Cesar Chavez Tournament Championship! Shuntrell Hayes was tournament MVP and Leslie Tademy made the All=Tournament team.
The 12s team played in their first tournament with nice results. They made it to the Championship game in their first court appearance. This team is filled with young players, who will just improve as time goes on. That's how it was with the 13s team, that's how it will be with this team.
Congratulations to both Wildfire teams.
WHAT'S NEW WITH THE WILDFIRE
The Wildfire's High School team is now playing games. This team features high school players from St. Mary's, South Mountain, Central, and South Pointe. The team will continue to play until high school basketball season officially starts.
Also, the Wildfire 12s team will become 13s on September 1st. That team has really grown, and should be a force in AAU 13s ball in the upcoming year. Several new players have committed to the team for the next year. Also, the team in fortunate enough to have a great group of parents who will help us reach the top.
The Wildfire will be entering at least one tournament before joining the Southwest Fall League on September 20th.
