Windy City Blast Takes anohter 2nd Place finish in Ann Arbor, Ring of Fire. The Blast could not get past Brighton Prep in a close game for the 2nd time ending in a 5-3 Loss. Carter Kernbauer was named MVP by the Referees for the game.Leading the charge offensively were Carter Kernbauer 6 pts.,Terry Klosak 5 pts.,Vince Bartkowiak 4 pts., Tony Lazarz 3 pts., and contolling the play defensively Tanner Panozzo 5 pts., and Zach Bakotic with 3 pts.

WINDY CITY BLAST TAKES 2nd in ROCK 'N' ROLL CUP
The Blast, taking 2 out of 3 in the round robin, earned enough points to get them in the finals against the Kiwanis Kanucks from St. Catharines, Ontario. The Kanucks were the only team to beat the Blast in a close contest just two days before. The Kanucks jumped out to an early lead, but the Blast line of Carter Kernbauer, Bill Millar, and Terry Klosak put on the pressure strong in the waning seconds of the first period. The "CCM" line (Carter, Chooch, Millar) found the back of the net with just 2 seconds left on the clock to tie the game at one.
Windy City went ahead in the 2nd period on a goal by Tony Lazarz. Assists went to Cheri Klosak and Vince Bartkowiak. The 2-1 score held until the 9:30 mark of the third. Kiwanis tied the game at 2 and got themselves back in the game. The Kanucks struck paydirt again with less than 2 minutes left in the game and held on for the win.
