Ryan DeWeese earns another State Championship Medal this Weekend
Congrats Ryan on two titles this year.. Two firsts just a couple of weeks apart. And as I predicted a month ago (ask Coach Kurt) didn't even a close match. Enjoy the Duals Ryan and look to make that Nationals trip now. Fundraising can be done for both if needed. Only two losses in the cadet division this year and that was to the same guy from California in Battleground, in the finals of each style... I can't remember a Rhino putting together such a dominant season as you have this year Ryan.
As a side note guys, has anyone besides me noticed that our Hall of Fame has a Cadet National All American Section for Freestyle and Greco and that both sections are blank?
HUGE CONGRATS to the Rhinos newest State Champions.
Ryan Deweese is our Greco Roman Cadet Washington State Champ. Not even a close Match....Who is gonna give this kid a match the way he is wrestling?
Ciaran Ball... What a beast. Moves up a weight class cause he was a pound over weight and in his first match wrestles one of the best in the state. Beats him in 3 rounds and then cruises to the Rhinos first Freestyle State Championship since 2007....
So we set up a youtube account for the Rhinos. My idea is that we'll give you guys the logins and you can upload videos and then I can put together a pretty cool compilation from that..... I started by adding a video of Cody. Here's the link to view it. I have added this link on the menu on the left as well.
You never know how good they can get.
Perhaps these young wrestlers may become our next National Finalist like Joe Trieu!
Or maybe they will follow in the footstep of one of our most famous Rhino Alums Randy Couture. This former Rhino became the Ultimate Fighting Champion of the World!!! What's funny is that he lost his belt at one time to another former rhino Josh Barnett.
The sky is the limit!!!
