RCBC REIGNS AS KING OF THE DIAMOND

April 14, 2024

Coach Quinn had a busy weekend at Diamond Nation as both his 10U Nationals and 13U Americans made it to the championship games of the King Of The Diamond tournament. And both won! The 10U squad went 4-0, scoring 50 runs while yielding only 10, and capping things off with a 13-5 win over Hustle Baseball. Mason Garland was named Tournament MVP. And the 13U boys went 5-0 on their championship run, defeating the Connecticut Grind 10-6 in the finale to take the title. Luca Scarangello took honors as Tournament MVP. Congrats on a great job by all the RCBC Ghost players and coaches.

And congrats too to the 13U Royals and Coach Jason Rigatti on finishing runner up in the USABL April Showdown in their first tournament of the year.

RCBC Ghost has now won 6 tournament championships in 8 title game appearances in this young season. Keep it going boys!

For those RCBC players who missed Media Day, our organization backdrop will be available for the next few days at the RC Complex if you want to stop by to take your own pictures. It will be hanging on the blue container next to the concession stand. Wear your royal blue RCBC jersey and hat and you can bring your own bat and glove for the pics. If you want your pictures to be added to the official Media Day Google photo album, please email them to Erin Garcia at eewelch21@aol.com.

Help sell advertising space at the RC Complex and earn credit.

Playing host to Perfect Game tournaments, high school games, college showcases, camps and clinics, the RC Complex draws over 3,000 visitors each week from March through November. It is prime advertising space for local merchants.

For every sign you sell, you will earn $100 credit off of your 2024 RCBC fees or, if you purchase a sign for your own business, you will receive $100 off the regular price of the sign.

Please see the attached price sheet with the different sign options which you can share with any interested merchants. Proceeds from sign sales will help us to continue to make improvements to the Complex for your enjoyment.

A Message From Coach DeFendis

The player is Number 1 at the Richmond County Baseball Club.

We are committed to any player that becomes a member of RCBC. The goal is to see your son progress to the next level, whether it be on his high school baseball team or on a college roster. A number of RCBC players have even moved on to the Pro level, including one who made his Major League debut in 2017, Zack Granite.

RCBC offers a variety of ways to develop our players:

Our coaches establish a fine player-coach relationship along with a partnership with his family
The Richmond County Youth Complex, complete with 5 well manicured fields, 4 batting cages, 4 bullpens and a player-friendly clubhouse, allows our players the finest opportunity to develop their baseball skills
The RCYC Pressbox offers a convenient and comfortable place for college coaches and pro scouts to evaluate and recruit our players for the next level
Richmond County teams travel to tournaments at Perfect Game, Diamond Nation and the Marucci World Series, while competing at home at the very competitive RCBC tournaments
RCBC is proud of its pre-high school teams whose players have distinguished themselves in tournaments at the complex and in numerous other states!

Richmond County Baseball is committed to bringing quality professional instruction and advisement to baseball players of all ages. We boast the highest level of instruction for every aspect of the game, from basic skills such as hitting and pitching, to physical conditioning, vision training, and college and professional advisement. Richmond County Baseball offers the most experienced and credentialed staff.

Our mission at Richmond County Baseball is to provide committed athletes with a motivating and positive atmosphere to increase athletic confidence and capacity. Through participation in Richmond County Baseball programs, each athlete will develop the physical skills and mental edge they desire for success in sports and in life.

The Pipeline College Baseball Showcases will be hosting two events in 2024 - June 11/12 and August 13/14. In last year's events, over 200 players and 30 schools attended. 
The Pipeline Showcase experience features on-field drills and instruction by college coaches, high tech metrics, batting with live pitching and the option to get a professional written evaluation and personalized highlight video. Schools representing D1, D2, D3 and Juco will be in attendance at all events.
