THE 2018 MWEFL SEASON IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!!!

ARE YOU FINALLY READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

Not only do we have the NFL Draft this weekend but the MW guys are kicking off their 22nd Season together in the Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana area. We will be gathering at the Southland Lincoln Oasis off the I-294 Tollway this Sunday April 29th at 11am. While the defending Superbowl Champion Jimbonatti BENGALS will be trying to fend off their nemesis, the Frankago BEARS, the other teams will be vying for seats at the table as well. Be there or be square looking in.

PS,

We are also taking our League photo, so wear your team gear!

Aric "Lightning Bolt" Johnson is unanimous 2015 MWEFL Coach of the Year!!!

While discussing potential amendments to this years' Rules ie kicking XPs from the 20 instead of the 10 - per the new NFL rule - and adding Kickoffs and Penalties, Coach Aric Johnson was awarded his much deserved 2015 COY Award by Commissioner Jimbo Dunagan. His enthusiasm and commitment to playing every GameDay that he was available was exemplary and we adult coaches can only hope to match it in future seasons.

With that being said, COACHES GET READY TO START YOUR ENGINES February 21st, 10am, Southland Lincoln Oasis!!!

BENGALS BLANK BEARS 10-0 IN SUPERBOWL 2015

They say pictures are worth 1000 words, so here's 4,000!!!

SUPERBOWL 2015 IS SET!!!

July 27, 2015

The Final Four coaches met at the Southland Lincoln Oasis one last time to decide the participants in this year's Superbowl. Jimbo's BENGALS had to knock out Ron's CARDINALS coming off of their victory against AJ'S FALCONS, and Frank's BEARS, who knocked off Terry's ALL-STARS, had to face Aric's PANTHERS, who beat Edgar's PACKERS. Both games resulted in shutouts for the last two men standing - Frank's BEARS and the league's #1 scoring Offense versus Jimbo's BENGALS and the league's stingiest Defense. It should be a titanic matchup between an Unstoppable Walter Payton and an Immovable BENGALS Defense.

GOT PLAYOFFS? WE DO!

CARDINALS 17, FALCONS 14 (F)

As if Arizona Cardinals didn't have enough to worry about this week. Head Coach Ron Christianson got blindsided by a hard tackle out of bounds by his OLB Chike Okeafor last month resulting in shoulder surgery and showed up to Sunday's game in a soft cast and sling. To add fuel to the fire, Arizona Governor Jacob Plummer bet Georgia Governor Deieon Sanders that the CARDINALS would whip the FALCONS with one arm tied behind their backs. Close enough as the one-armed coach did all he needed to do to get his team into FG position on the final possession of the game. Neil Rackers did the rest and punched the 32-yarder through the uprights for the Win on the very last play. The #4 CARDINALS await the outcome of the BENGALS/RAMS game to determine if they host the PANTHERS or travel to Cincy.

PANTHERS 3, PACKERS 0 (OT)

It was ALL Defense as these two teams went into OT scoreless. Green Bay did not allow a single First Down while Carolina's best defense was Packers QB A. Rodgers throwing 2 INTs that put the Panthers into FG range twice. Carolina PK #39 Aric Johnson shanked the first one from 58 yards in the 2nd Quarter, but nailed the game winner in OT from 31 yards. Green Bay PK Edgar Downs also missed a FG late in the 2nd Quarter as well from 24 yards out.

BEARS 14, RAVENS 0 (F)

Walter Payton took his first handoff to the house from 70 yards out after Chicago's Defense forced 3 & Out from the RAVENS and gave McMahon & Co. ball at their own 30. Neal Anderson wouldn't be outdone in the 2nd Quarter as he caught a short middle screen pass from Jim McMahon and turned it into a 75 yard score. Dick Butkus added 2 Sacks along with plenty of heat on the Baltimore QB. The #1 BEARS look forward towards either Ronnie's #7 RAMS if they beat Jimbo's #2 BENGALS, or Aric's #6 PANTHERS if not.

RAIDERS CAUGHT A TIGER BY THE TOE AND GOT BIT!

RAIDERS CAUGHT A TIGER BY THE TOE AND GOT BIT!

Reggie's RAIDERS didn't sneak into Cincy as much as they were very late to the showdown at the NEW Jimbo Brown Stadium aka Field of Stripes. The BENGALS won the toss and chose Offense first and drove 80yds in 7 plays before Bernard Scott took the ball off the left Tackle for 22yds and the only score of the day. Both Cincinnati RBs finished with at least 60yds Rushing each, Scott with 61yds and the lone TD off 6 attempts and Cedric Benson with 66yds off 9 attempts. Both Ray Guy and Shayne Graham missed long FG attempts of 58 and 54yds respectively, while Carson Palmer continued his horrendous streak of lousy passing. Chris Henry left the field after the game in obvious disgust with his QB after Palmer targeted him 4 times and missed them all, badly if I care to tell the honest truth . Another ground ball was thrown toward Chad Johnson and Palmer's only completion of the day was to his young TE Jermaine Gresham.

Kenny Stabler had a slightly better day at the office - completion percentage wise that is - despite resulting in a scoreless effort for Oakland. He connected twice to Clarence Davis out of the backfield and once to Cliff Branch, and was 3 for 5 for only 34yds.

Defense for both sides was stout with valiant efforts by Oakland's Otis Sistrunk and Willie Hall both with 3 tackles apiece. But the key defensive play of the game had to go to Cincinnati LB Dhani Jones who once again - for the 4th straight game - closed the game with a walk-off Sack, this time taking Stabler down to the turf as the clock struck :00.

CARDINALS TRY TO SNEAK INTO CINCY BUT GET MAULED!

Ron and his Redbirds flew into Jimbo Brown Stadium Tuesday afternoon in what looked on paper to be an even match-up. BENGALS' Right Defensive End Antwan Odom (#98) disagreed by posting 5 tackles and sacking Kurt Warner 3 times, including the final play of the game to preserve a 10-0 victory. This marks the 3rd game in which a BENGALS defender has closed a game with walk-off Sacks. Both Domato Peko (#94) and Dhani Jones (#57) had Sacks against Aric's PANTHERS and Terry's BEARS (respectively) on the final play prior to Odom. Cedric Benson had a 42yd TD catch from Carson Palmer and Shayne Graham added a 32yd FG.
