SEPT 13 @ 12:30 FIELD 3 AGAINST EMMETT EXTREME 1st game 4-4 tie, 2nd game 12-8 win us. Great first time out showing very impressive day. We even had a bunt turn into a home run by Erin Schoen. Nice base running way to listen to the coaches. Stats will be out later.
SEPT 20 @ 12:30 FIELD 5 AGAINST PORT HURON FALCONS We had a 6-4 win in the first and had some trouble with hitting the pticher in the second game where we took a 5-2 loss, time ran out with runners on second and third and in the heart of the batting order. Brianna Price was able to reach third on a bunt. Every game we have improved, nice job girls. (no more food between games) Fruit and water will be enough. We came out slow due to the girls eating a feast........even I wanted a knapp after that.
SEPT 27 @ 12:30 FIELD 5 AGAINST CLINTON MACOMB ANGEL Tough start of the game. In the first innning the Angels scored 3 runs and we still didn't have an out. Change of pitcher, helped some then they score three more runs before we got our first out. Then some errors on the infield and a change of catcher, the first inning ended with us down 7-0. As the game continued we were only able to hold them off. Final score 9-1. BUT THEN THE SECOND GAME STARTED AND OUR GIRLS SHOWED THEM WHAT NEVER QUIT MEANS: WE SCORED 9 RUNS IN THE FIRST INNING AND ADDED ANOTHER 4 AS THE GAME WENT ON. WE WON THAT GAME 13-8 WHEN THE CLOCK RAN OUT.
OCT. 4 @ 12:30 FIELD 6 AGAINST EMMETT YALE TRAVEL
This game was cold and wet for most of the day. We came out of the gate and scored run after run. When the first inning was finally over it felt like we played 5 innings already. Score after 1, 12-0. We continued gaining ground when the game came to an end 12-4. The second game was exactly that, a game. We went back and fourth right up to the end of the game with us coming up on the short end with a 6-4 loss.
OCT. 11 @ 12:30 FIELD 2 AGAINST PORT HURON COBRAS
Once again the girls put in a great game right out of the gate. Even though it was cold the bats were hot. Our fielding is steady with improvements and lessons learned every game. Won the first game 6-3 then game the second game??????? We also give up the first 2 to 3 innings before we come back around. We lost that one 7-6 to little to late. It was a bit chilly out there. Hopefully next week the weather will be somewhat warmer for out last two games. Way to go girls.
OCT. 18 @ 12:30 FIELD 5 AGAINST SHARKS RENAUD Tough day at the ball park. We started slow, we finished slow?????? Second game we started slow......we finished better but ran out of time and lost by 2. Lost both games today )O:
