2nd ANNUAL 1 DREAM WINTER SHOOTOUT

The 2nd Annual 1 DREAM WINTER SHOOTOUT was won by the LAKEVIEW TROJANS GOLD team. LAKEVIEW entered two 8th grade teams which played for the championship of the tournament. The GOLD TEAM defeated the BLACK TEAM 63-49. The GOLD TEAM outscored the BLACK TEAM 23-6 in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.
Davis Heaton (LAKEVIEW GOLD) was named TOURNAMENT MOP (Most Outstanding Player), averaging 18.5 pts/gm, dishing out numerous assists, and controlling the tempo of the game for the LAKEVIEW GOLD team.
The LAKEVIEW TROJANS BLACK team averaged 66 pts/gm in their first two games but only managed 49 pts versus the LAKEVIEW GOLD team. Jaylen Holford and Cameron Walker eached averaged 18.6 pts/gm.
The MISSION FALCONS finished in 3rd place by defeating the LEWIS LEOPARDS 53-49 in the consolation game. The FALCONS were led by Matthew Blaney (21.5 pts/gm), including nine 3 pointers in 2 games, and tournament high 26 pts versus the LAKEVIEW BLACK squad. Zennon Cano averaged 20.5 pts/gm on the day. The FALCONS represented themselves well being the only 7th grade team officially entered in the tournament.
The LEWIS LEOPARDS were in the 1 Dream Winter Shootout for the second straight year, and battled relentlessly in every game. Josh Oliver averaged 11.3 pts/gm, including 17 pts in the loss to the MISSION FALCONS.
The FESLER FALCONS finished the Winter Shootout with a 1-2 record, but challenged every opponent they faced throughout the tournament. FESLER used a balance attack in every game, with at least 8 players scoring in each game. This was the FALCONS second year in the tournament.
