Party Party Party!!!! The team party is scheduled for Saturday April 5 at 3:30 pm. Dinner, presentations, and awards will be at the Sports Garden Cafe, folowed by Cosmic Bowling at NEBs. Parents are asked to attend as well.
Please remember to return the white team jerseys to Joanne at the team party on Saturday, with the name and sponsor bars removed.

Tryouts for 2008/09 begin on Wednesday April 16 at 8:00 pm. The Bantam AA team will be on Pad 5 at Iroquois and the Peewee AA team will be on Pad 2. See www.wgha.org for more details.
Flames in a Shootout

The Wolves second round series in the LLFHL playoffs couldn't have been closer. Game 1 ended in a 1 - 1 tie, with Ainsleigh scoring the Wolves goal, assisted by Sarah. At home for Game 2, the Wolves again played to a 1 - 1 tie with Ali scoring and Katie getting the helper.
The series returned to Clarington for the final game on Sunday night, and as in the previous 2 games the score at the end of regulation time was 1 - 1, with JC scoring assisted by Jennifer. A 5 minute sudden-death overtime period resolved nothing, and the teams prepared for the shootout. The first 4 pairs of shooters were even, but the 5th pair resulted in the winner for Clarington.
Congratulations to all the Wolves for a great season. Practices continue in preparation for tryouts, and there may be an exhibition game or two scheduled.

The Wolves finished Provincial Playdowns with a 2 - 0 win over the Clarington Flames. The win means the Wolves end up in 2nd place with 7 points in the 4 team round robin, 2 points behind the series winning Oshawa Lady Generals.
Wolves goals were scored by Katie and Lauren, with Allie and Katie earning the assists. Jessica earned the shutout in goal.
Wolves and Lady Generals Tie Another One!

The Wolves continue to play tough against the regular-season leaders from Oshawa. Whitby used their speed and determination to combat the size advantage of the Lady Generals, and came away with a hard fought 3 - 3 tie. The Wolves now have a win and 2 ties in their last 3 games against Oshawa. Sarah, JC, and Katie had the goals for Whitby, with Kate and Ali earning assists.
The Wolves will see a lot of Clarington over the next week, as they on take the Flames on Friday in the last game of the Provincial Playdowns and start a best of 3 LLFHL series with them on Wednesday.
