Hello Eldorado, Esperanza and Yorba Linda High School Lacrosse Families,
Community Service Hours are now available to all of the high school lacrosse players through the Yorba Linda Lacrosse Academies youth Lightning Lacrosse League. This is a great opportunity for your sons to obtain community service hours for their graduation requirement and then some.
The youth program was started to help build all of the PYLUSD high school lacrosse programs. Most of the dads are new to the sport and really appreciate and rely on the high school players who help them coach.
Players can earn over 30 hours in the coming season.
I usually take seniors and juniors first. However if many of them do not need the hours I will then take sophomores then freshmen.
I am currently looking for 12 - 16 players now to help a dad coach one the 10 youth teams in our upcoming spring season.
The first 5 practices for all teams are April 18, 20, 23, 25 & 27.
Season ends June 18th
After the first 5 practices all teams will only practice 1 day a week. They will be on Tuesday nights at Yorba Linda High School on the grass field. The times are 5 – 6:30 pm OR 6:30 – 8 pm.
Games start April 30 on Sundays at YLHS grass field starting at 3:30, 4:30 or 5:30 pm.
For complete season information go to ylyouthlacrosse.com and look at “Spring 2017 Dates” under the “Boys Rec League tab”.
PLEASE NOTE: There will not be a 2017-18 Winter Rec Season to earn hours. We will no longer be offering the winter season.
