We are proud of AAA (Arts, Achievements, and Athletics camp). Our students tell us that our approach to the Arts have allowed them to see the subject matter in a whole new way…Through our academics Achievement program students have learned how to appreciate excellence and to not be afraid of acknowledging the greatness which lies within them. “Triple A” exceeded my expectations” “Triple A is different and exciting”
Why? 1. Triple A strikes a unique balance between a fun-filled Arts and sciences program with an exciting athletics regiment conducive to maintaining healthy minds and healthy bodies. 2. Triple A fosters an environment where students feel respected, nurtured and intelligent. 3. Each student enjoys monitored computer access to research and explore relevant topics. But our story does not end there… We are a family oriented camp and encourage our parents with multiple children to enroll siblings together (scholarships available). Enrollment is limited to 60 campers to enable us to personally get to know every student as well as possible. Our staff member: student ratio is 1: 5 Staff members are trained to recognize the explicit as well as implicit needs of our campers. We acknowledge the feelings of every camper and employ an affective approach to teaching and learning where every student feels respected and valued…
What do we promise our students? 1. First, we will review information learned the previous school year such as English, reading, writing, math (algebra, or geometry), depending on which course they choose to major in. 2. Second, at “AAA” we offer our campers an important opportunity to learn more about themselves. a. Our Arts program exposes campers to their creative side which enables them to become better thinkers in their academia. b. Through athletics our students become physically and mentally equip to take on and manage their education. 3. Our agenda includes special field trips, guest speakers, and perform community service opportunities. 4. We encourage critical thinking…In fact, everything we do reinforces learning. In addition to Academic skills, campers learn responsibility, team building, problem solving, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills in the classrooms, on the athletic field, on the busses, at lunch, but especially among their peers. Our campers work side-by-side with carefully selected, high-quality, well educated counselors who function as peer mentors, teaching assistants, and athletic instructors.
