PENNSBURY GAME-April 16

Today's game at Pennsbury is VARSITY only. JV will practice after school

Ghosts 10 Tennent 4

After allowing a run in the top of the first, the Ghosts stormed back with 3 of their own to take a 3-1 lead. Matt McDonough had the key hit as his triple drove in two. In the bottom of the second, the Ghosts used six hits to score five runs and take a commanding 8-1 lead. Brendan Gallagher had a two RBI single in the inning. Matt McDonough picked up the win on the mound while Conor Breslin pitched the final 3 innings for the save.

Ghosts 10 Truman 5 (8 inn)

Despite a sluggish start, the Ghosts rallied in the 7th and 8th innings to defeat the Tigers. Trailing 4-3 going into the 7th, the Ghosts scored two runs to take a 5-4 lead. However, Truman came back to tie the game with a run of their own.  In the top of the 8th, Truman got two quick outs and then Brendan Gallagher walked. Gallagher stole 2nd and Justin Stokes came up with the hit of the game as he lined a single to center field, scoring Gallagher. The Ghosts then went on to tack on 4 more runs. Conor Breslin shut the door in the bottom of the 8th for his first save. Greg Troyer picked up his 2nd win of the year with 4 innings of relief. Matt McDonough and Jack Larini led the offense as they smoked two doubles each during the rallies in both the 7th and 8th innings.

Neshaminy 8 Ghosts 6

Led by the top four hitters in their lineup, first place Neshaminy jumped out to an early 8-0 lead. However, the Ghosts chipped away and got the game back to 8-6 but a furious 7th inning rally fell just short. Catcher Nick Bein was 2-4 with two RBI's for the Ghosts.

Cheltenham 4 Ghosts 3

In the neighborhood rivalry game, the Chelts scored a run with two outs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Ghosts. Fot the Ghosts, Conor Breslin pitched 4.1 innings of shutout relief & Matt McDonough doubled and drove in a run.

Ghosts 5 CR North 3

The Galloping Ghosts came from behind twice to knock off the Inquirer's #3 ranked team. Sophomore pitchers Chris Clewell and Greg Troyer were the story as they held the vaunted Indians to 3 runs, only 2 earned. Clewell started and went 3 inning while Troyer pitched the final 4 innings, picking up his first varsity win. Brendan Gallagher and Nick Bein led the Ghosts offense by both going 2 for 3.

Council Rock South 4 Ghosts 3

In a well played game, the Rock South Golden Hawks came from behind to defeat the Ghosts 4-3. Ghosts RHP Matt McDonough was outstanding on the mound as he allowed only 1 run in 4 innings of work. Catcher Nick Bein had a 2- RBI double in the first to put the Ghosts up 2-0.

Upper Dublin 4 Ghosts 2

Upper Dublin scored two runs in the top of the 5th to break a 2-2 tie and gave the Cardinals the win. Nick Bein hit his first career high school home run and Matt McDonough had two hits, including an RBI single. Soph pitchers Chris Clewell and Greg Troyer threw well for the Ghosts.

PW 11 Ghosts 4

The Colonials took advantage of 5 Ghosts errors to score 3 runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. Soph SS Aiden Coyle led the Ghosts offense in his first varsity start by going 2 for 4. Soph OF Jack Larini added a double.
