Lady Rockets to host West Henderson

Lady Rockets will host West Henderson today, with J.V. to begin at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.  GO LADY ROCKETS!

Victory by Lady Rockets over Polk County Wolverines

Lady Rockets are victorious over the Polk County Wolverines by a score of 5 to 1.  Goals were scored by Senior Captain Megan McCallister (2), Senior Esi Hutchinson, Freshman PaliSmith and Junior Caroline Hargadon.  Assists were Sophomores Ellie Montes and Kara Arroyo (2), Freshman Grace Sloan, and Junior Christina Shimshock.  Senior GK Dallas Warren and Junior Brooke Reaves each had one save on the night.  Lady Rockets will next host West Henderson on Thursday, March 26.  GO LADY ROCKETS!! 

Lady Rockets suffer loss

Lady Rockets suffer a disappointing loss to Asheville High Cougars, with the final score 1 - 2.  Senior Captain Megan McCallister scored the only goal of the night.  

Lady Rockets to host Asheville High Lady Cougars

Lady Rockets will host the Asheville High Lady Cougars on Monday, March 23, with J.V. at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.  Come out and cheer our Lady Rockets on to victory!!!!  GO LADY ROCKETS!!!

Lady Rockets earn third shut out

Lady Rockets were victorious over the North Henderson Knights with a final score of 3 to 0.  Senior Captain Megan McCallister gets another hat trick, with Junior Karissa Grooms and Sophomore Ellie Montes on the assists.  Senior GK Dallas Warren and Junior GK Brooke Reaves share the shut out.  Go LADY ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets back at home tonight hosting North Henderson

Lady Rockets will be hosting North Henderson Knights this evening in a non-conference game matchup at R. L. Dalton Stadium, with J.V. to begin at 5 p.m. and Varsity kicking off at 7 p.m.  Come out and show your support for our LADY ROCKETS!!

Another shut out win for the Lady Rockets!

The Lady Rockets traveled to Erwin High School in their second conference game matchup and came away with a shut out win, final score 9 to 0.  Scoring goals tonight were Sophomore Kara Arroyo (2), Senior Captain Megan McCallister with another hat trick (3), Senior Esi Hitchinson, Juniors Caroline Hargadon and Christina Shimshock, and Sophomore Ellie Montes.  Assists were by Juniors Ashlyn Perkins and Karissa Grooms, Freshman Pali Smith, Sophomores Katie Kearns and Ellie Montes, and Senior Captains Megan McCallister and Makayla Ballenger.  Senior GK Dallas Warren and Junior GK Brooke Reaves sharing the shut out.  The Lady Rockets will next host North Henderson on Friday, March 20.  GO ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets are on the road to Erwin today.  Due to Erwin not fielding a JV team, Varsity only will be playing, with the kickoff time at 5:00 p.m.  GO ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets defeat NB Lady Black Hawks

Lady Rockets defeat the North Buncombe Lady Black Hawks in the first conference game of the season with a shut out 9 to 0.  Goals scored were by Senior Captain Megan McCallister with a hat trick, Freshman Grace Sloan, Juniors Caroline Hargadon, Kaley Cross and Christina Shimshock, Sophomore Kara Arroyo and Senior Esi Hutchinson.  Assisting the goals were Juniors Karissa Grooms, Kaley Cross, Ashlyn Perkins, Celine Jacobi Barham (2), Freshman Pali Smith and Senior Captain Megan McCallister.  Senior Goalkeeper Dallas Warren earns the shutout.  GREAT JOB LADY ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets hosting North Buncombe Lady Black Hawks!

What a beautiful day for the start of conference games this season!  Lady Rockets will be hosting North Buncombe Lady Black Hawks this afternoon for their first conference game matchup of the season.  JV will begin at 5 pm, with Varsity following at 7 pm.  COME OUT AND CHEER YOUR LADY ROCKETS ON TO VICTORY!!!!

2nd Annual ACR Mountain Invitational comes to an end

The 2nd Annual ACR Mountain Invitational concluded today.  The matchup began on Friday with TC Roberson facing South Iredell, with South Iredell being victorious by a score of 3 to 0.  The Lady Rockets then took on last year's 4A state champions Hough High School, who served the Lady Rockets with their first loss of the season, final score 4 to 2.  Goals were scored by Freshman Pali Smith and Senior Captain Megan McCallister and one assist by Junior Christina Shimshock.  Saturday brought a matchup between TC Roberson and Hough High School, with Hough winning by a final score of 3 to 1.  Next up, the Lady Rockets took on South Iredell, being victorious by a score of 2 to 1, with Senior Captain Megan McCallister scoring both goals and Sophmomore Ellie Montes and Senior Captain Makayla Ballenger assisting.  

MANDATORY SPRING SPORTS PARENT MEETING

Mandatory Spring Sports Meeting will be held tomorrow evening, Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the minitorium.  Parents - please plan on attending!

Lady Rockets victorious over Tuscola 3 to 1

Lady Rockets defeat the Tuscola Mountaineers by a score of 3 to 1. Senior Captain Megan McCallister earning a hat trick (3 goals) with an assist from Sophomore Kara Arroyo. Senior Goalkeeper Dallas Warren made five saves on the night. GO LADY ROCKETS!

Lady Rockets victorious over Fred T. Foard Lady Tigers!

Lady Rockets come away with a nice victory tonight against the Foard Lady Tigers, final score 5 to 1.  Goals were scored by Senior Captains Megan McCallister and Makayla Ballenger and Juniors Christina Shimshock, Kaley Cross and Ashlyn Perkins.  Assists came from Junior Celine Jacobi-Barham and Sophomore Katie Kearns.  The Lady Rockets are on the road Monday, March 9, traveling to Waynesville Middle School to play Tuscola High School.  GO LADY ROCKETS!

SPRING SPORTS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR TONIGHT, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4!  The meeting has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Lady Rockets shut out Hendersonville Bearcats

What a great way to start off the season tonight, with the Lady Rockets shutting out the Hendersonville Bearcats 8 - 0!  Senior Captain Megan McCallister started the goals off, with an assist from Sophomore Ellie Montes, breaking the previous career goal scoring record of 106 goals.  CONGRATS TO MEGAN!  Other goals by Senior Victoria Turner, Junior Christina Shimshock (2), Senior Captain Megan McCallister, Sophomore Kara Arroyo, and Juniors Kaley Cross and Ashlyn Perkins.  Assisting the goals were Senior Captain Megan McCallister (2), Juniors Kaley Cross and Ashlyn Perkins, and Freshman Pali Smith (3).  Senior Goalkeeper Dallas Warren had five saves on the night, earning a shut out on the night.  Way to go Lady Rockets!!!!

Season Home Opener

Lady Rockets have their first home game of the season against Hendersonville tomorrow, Monday, March 2 - JV will start at 5 pm and Varsity at 7 pm.  Come out and cheer our Lady Rockets on to victory!

NO PRACTICE TODAY

February 26, 2015

No practice today.  At this time, the plan is to have practice tomorrow (Friday) in the gym 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Buncombe County School System will dictate whether or not that practice can occur.  A decision about the jamboree will be made sometime tomorrow.

Bundle Up! Tryouts Begin 2/23

It will be chilly this week, but the Lady Rockets will be on the field every day from 3:30-5:00.  Players must have a current physical to tryout.

The AC Reynolds Rockets are a 3A team playing in the Mountain Athletic Conference. The Rockets home stadium, RL Dalton Stadium, is one of the most beautiful settings in the state- surrounded by mountains and steep cedar cliffs. The home field setting is enhanced by the great fan support the team regularly receives at their games. The Rockets and Lady Rockets have combined to win 9 conference championships, most recently in 2011 as the Lady Rockets captured the outright MAC crown with a 3-2 win at TC Roberson on the last game of regular season.
