UNIFORM INFORMATION! Uniforms will be ordered immediately after draft and will be given to the managers as soon as possible. Please be patient regarding uniforms since they cannot be ordered until each player is placed on a team. All uniform issues will be handled through your manager.
NON-RESIDENT FEE - Please be aware that if your address is NOT on the Acworth City Street List you will be charged a $20 Non-Resident Fee. Your registration will not be considered complete until this fee is paid. Residency questions will be handled by Frank White at the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department 770-917-1234.

Raffle tickets were unavailable at the draft. Secretary Regina LeCroy will be handing out raffle tickets Tuesday 8/17 thru Friday 8/20 between early and late practice times. Managers and Team Parents should plan on picking up your raffle tickets either at your practice this week or on Saturday 8/21 at the big Concession Stand. Due to the delay in getting raffle tickets out we will push back our drawing 2 weeks to Monday, September 27th. Thanks for your patience! The grand prize of $250, 2nd prize of $150, 3rd prize of $100, and other prizes will be drawn on Monday, Sept. 27th at the Acworth Sports Complex. Money collected by the player is theirs to keep to help offset the cost of registration. This means if the player sells all of the raffle tickets, they play free baseball! Please turn your raffle ticket stubs into your Team Mom or in the Drop Box located in the Acworth Sports Complex Concession Stand before Monday, Sept. 27th.

CLARIFICATION OF PREVIOUS BAT ANNOUNCEMENT
Use of bats in DIZZY DEAN BASEBALL INC, announcement effective immediately.
There have been several questions asked since the initial announcement on the use of bats in Dizzy Dean Baseball, sanctioned events, in particular ones that are designed or marked "COACH PITCH". This follow up from the previous announcement is intended to clarify the intent of the aforementioned correspondence. Baseball bats that are designed or marked as "COACH PITCH" and/or not for use with regulation baseballs are not legal in DIZZY DEAN BASEBALL INC. sanctioned events that use regulation baseballs. This is for all ages and divisions of T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Farm League, or any other division of DIZZY DEAN BASEBALL INC. REGULATION BASEBALL INCLUDE THE 9" AND 8.5". Acworth Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball registration is now underway. This league is open to all children between the ages of 5 and 14. There will be one on-site registration at the Acworth Sports Complex Monday, October 4th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to accommodate those still participating in baseball.
The fees for the league are as follows:
Co-ed 5 & 6: $105 for City of Acworth residents and $125 for non City of Acworth residents
All other divisions: $155 for City of Acworth residents and $175 for non City of Acworth residents
Register before September 13th and receive a $10 discount.

2010/2011 - 9U Travel Team Tryouts
We are having open workouts for the upcoming 9U Acworth Travel Select Team for the 2011 Season.
Our coaching philosophy is to emphasize the fundamentals of baseball, good sportsmanship and teamwork. We will provide a positive, yet hard-working environment to help our team and our players train for success. We are committed to the kids and are looking forward to a fun season of competitive baseball.
We plan to play a couple of fall tournaments or scrimmages and have indoor/outdoor practices throughout the winter season to prepare for our Spring/Summer tournaments. We plan on playing around 11 tournaments throughout the year. We'll practice at the Acworth Sports Complex, but encourage players from the surrounding area to join us at our workouts.
We will be conducting open an workout at Field # 6 at the Acworth Sports Complex as follows:
Sunday, July 25th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm
Tryouts - Saturday July 31st 3:00 - 5:00 pm
Prospective players are encouraged to attend, but is not mandatory. No pre-registration or fee required for the workout or tryout.

2010/2011 - 10U Select Travel Team Tryouts
The upcoming 10U Acworth Warriors Select travel baseball team is proud to announce Open Tryouts on field 6 at Kenworth Park on July 29-30 from 5:00-7:30. Each tryout will be conducted like a clinic/practice session with fielding practice - groundballs/flyballs, throwing and pitching sessions, and hitting practice. The upcoming 10U Warriors are looking for additional players for the upcoming Fall and Summer seasons. This year's 9U Warrior Select Travel Team's record so far for this summer is 32-10-2 and have the following tournament titles:

Please do not park in the RESERVED parking spaces. Our concession workers use these spaces so they don’t have to haul concession products across the parking lot with a hand truck. We appreciate your patronage at the concession stand but please don't make our jobs harder. Please, do not park in the RESERVED parking spaces.
FIELD CLOSURE RESTRICTION
When the fields are closed this includes the outfields. DO NOT PLAN ON PRACTICING ON ANY PART OF THE FIELD WHEN CLOSED. Batting cages are open at all times on a first come/first serve basis. Thanks for your cooperation!
