"Drive It Like You Stole It "(Robert Lee) Old Car 2003
This 108" wheelbase 4-door 1978 malibu was a great starter car for seat time. Getting off on the wrong foot made for a very long season. We missed four races due to engine problems and having the car set up to turn right instead of left. After countless hours and tons of $$$$, we started to be a bit more competitive, winning two heat races and a fourth place feature win. None of this would have been possible if it hadn't been for the help of Robert/Ken Lee, my crew chief Jonathan Baker, and team Atkinson racing #40. We are looking forward to the 2004 season with our new car.....

The new #3 car with efforts from the #40 team raced against time to try to have a race ready car for Shediac, so that we could shake the car down for the 2004 season.
A lot of hard work through the week paid off at the track!!!
We had a very good weekend, and now we are hoping to add a hood sponsor on the car. It was a very hard fought battle with the two top point getters getting 1st and 2nd and I rounded out the top three.

The very next weekend after a strong 3rd place finish, we started 3rd and took the lead on lap two from TURBO TITUS and with a few cautions bringing us close I got spun on lap 18. OH well I will try harder next time.

Waiting for the green flag to drop in our heat. The car had not been good today as we had noticed later in the day that the cross member had broke. Richard spent some time on the car getting it race ready for the next week.

After trying to take Danny on the outside for a couple of laps, Danny got loose and gave me a bit of room to take the lead from him on the inside.

Matt Banks giving a bit of a boost to get past the #9 car. What a finish this heat was as Matt got me loose with three laps to go and got by me. I was unable to gain the ground and had to settle for 2nd in the heat, and as a result this was Matts 1st ever heat win. Way to go Matt!!!

This was a great race other then getting spun, there was a few cautions and fender benders. It took several hours through the week to get the car back into shape for the next weekends race.

One of the greatest racers of all time 7 NWC championships 80, 86, 87, 90, 91, 93, 94. What a thrill that must have been.
