Coach Ward
Callie Ward is very excited to be the Boys Tennis Coach at Allatoona High School. She is looking forward to the opportunity to help each athlete grow as an individual and as a team member.
Coach Ward played four years of varsity tennis at North Cobb High School where she graduated in 2000. After graduation, Coach Ward received a tennis scholarship to Georgia Southern University. She played tennis for the Lady Eagles from 2000-2004. Coach Ward was a Georgia Southern Scholar Athlete all four years and in the spring of 2003, she received the NCAA Women’s Sportsmanship Award for the Southern Conference. Coach Ward graduated in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.
After college she decided to return home to Cobb County to teach. Coach Ward has been a special education teacher at Lewis Elementary School since August 2004. Next year she will be moving to Pickett’s Mill Elementary School to continue her position as a special education teacher. Coach Ward is looking forward to the opportunity to teach and coach at the new Cobb County schools.
