NCAA Announces 2009 Women's College Cup Schedule
November 15, 2009

The NCAA has announced the game times and broadcast schedule for the 2009 Women’s College Cup, being held Dec. 4 and 6 in College Station, Texas.

The first of two national semifinals will kick-off Friday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern. The game will be simulcast live on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360.com.

The second national semifinal, also on Dec. 4, is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern, and air live on ESPNU. A rebroadcast of this game will air on Sunday, Dec., 6 at 11 a.m. Eastern on ESPN2.

Coverage of the national championship game begins at 1 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 6, and will be simulcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN360.com.

BRYC Azul (U17) Advances to State Cup Final Four
October 3, 2009

Fairfax, VA - The Braddock Road Azul won their quarterfinal state cup game this Saturday and advanced to the Virginia State Cup Final Four. They defeated SYA Arsenal with a score of one-nil. Azul will face FCV Explosion on October 31st. Richmond Strikers Elite and Beach FC Piranhas will entertain the other semifinals match.

The draw for 2009 Fall Virginia State Cup is in. The VYSA State Office has announced there will be a total of 21 competitive U-17G teams eyeing for this year's State Cup Championship. Last year's State Champions, BRYC Azul, will kick off their first state cup game against the winner of PWSI Courage and CUSC Mystics.

The 34th Annual WAGS Tournament is rapidly approaching! The finest U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams in the United States will be attending this event. The Under 17 Showcase will be played at Cedar Lane Regional Park in BelAir, MD.

2009 Adidas Labor Day Shootout

Greensboro Youth Soccer, home of the Greensboro Twisters and the Greensboro Soccer Club invite you to apply to the adidas Labor Day Shootout, one of the south’s oldest and premier soccer events. 2009 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series
June 15, 2009

The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series provides more than 10,000 teams from US Youth Soccer's 55 State Associations the opportunity to showcase their abilities against the best in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play. The yearlong competition begins with over 185,000 players in the US Youth Soccer State Championships. These champions and selected wildcard teams, through US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues, advance to compete in one of four the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. Champions (U-14 through U-19) from each regional event advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
The Under-15 through 17 Boys and Girls age groups have two teams representative of the US Youth Soccer National League, in which the top two teams in each gender age group earn a direct path to the national championships. Overall the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series provides the nation's top collegiate coaches with the premier stage to identify and scout the most coveted players in the country.
The US Youth Soccer Region I National Championship Series caps a year-long tournament, that features competition for boys and girls teams in the Under 12 through Under 19 age groups. The National Championship Series begins with teams in all 15 state associations vying for their State Championship titles. State Champions in these age groups and champions of the Region I Premier League are eligible to compete in the US Youth Soccer Region I National Championships. These Championships will be held in West Virginia, July 2-7, 2009.

The US Youth Soccer Region I Championships Committee shall determine the Region I representative to the National Championships Competition, the Final Four of Youth Soccer. In 2009, the US Youth Soccer National Championships will be held at Progin Park Complex, Lancaster, MA.

2009 PDA Girls College Showcase (May 23-25, 2009)

PDA Invitational Girls College Showcase is a premier elite level girls college showcase, one of the top-ranked tournaments in the country. The tournament will be held on Memorial Day weekend from May 23rd - 25th at PDA, Rutgers, and Soccer Centers.

  • The Tournament accepts over 600 teams from around North America.
  • In the past 4 Years, the Jefferson Cup turns down an average of over 500 teams per year.
  • The Jefferson Cup is currently ranked the #2 youth tournament for boys and #5 youth soccer tournament for girls in the United States.
  • Each year the tournament draws an average of over 150 State Cup Champions, over 50 Regional Champions and over 5 National Champions per year throughout the nine age groups.
  • The Tournament is held at 13 different complexes around the Greater Richmond Area with the main facility being Striker Park.
  • Striker Park is a 11-field soccer facility that has been regarded as one of the country's top soccer complexes.
  • Each year the tournament brings around 200 college coaches per weekend to scout the players participating.
  • The main sponsors of the Jefferson Cup are Markel Corporation, NIKE, Pepsi, Richmond Sports Backers, Richmond Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club.
  • The Jefferson Cup has become associated with tournaments such as the Dallas Cup, The San Diego Surf Cup, WAGS Women’s Tournament, and the Disney College Showcase as one of the five premier North American tournaments in the country.



Las Vegas College Showcase (March 13-15, 2009)
January 8, 2009

For three days in March, the fabulous Las Vegas becomes the recruiting ground for U.S. college coaches to observe some of the best players in the nation to showcase their talents in some of the country's most competitive games. The Las Vegas College Showcase features over 200 of the best teams in the nation competing on 21 manicured full size soccer fields. The teams are matched from outside their area and receive a minimum of four full-length games. Maximum exposure to college coaches is the major goal of this tournament. The awesome Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex will host the girls' teams, while boys will play in the newly constructed Kellogg/Zaher Soccer Complex 5 minutes away. These complexes are the sites of the 2007 Far West Regional Championships.

The 2005 & 2006 Las Vegas College Showcase tournaments were featured on the Fox Soccer Channel as one of the elite showcase tournaments in the nation and were ranked in the top five by the Soccer America magazine. The 2006 tournament was represented by teams from 30 different states as well as teams from Canada. Over 450 college coaches signed in at the tournament site and received the Tournament Player Profile Booklet.

Azul Advances to Disney Showcase Semifinals
January 2, 2009

Orlando, FL - Braddock Road Azul (VA) came out victorious over CASL Spartan Elite (NC) this evening with a score of 3-1 at DWWS Soccer Complex. The semi-final match between the Azul and U16 Predator Bracket C winner, Pride SC Predators (CO), will be held tomorrow 10:30 A.M. at West Orange field #3. The other semi-final game will feature two Michigan teams, Michigan Wolves-Hawks and NOVI Michigan Jaguars.
