LSJ WARRIORS HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY TRYOUTS

 

 The LSJ Warriors JV and Varsity High School hockey teams will hold tryouts for the 2015-2016 season on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 5:30pm until 7:00pm and Saturday, April 25th, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at The Ice Box in South Bend.  Participants will be expected to attend both dates, unless Coach Koehler excuses.  If a participant will have a problem attending both dates they should contact Coach Koehler (johnkoehler172000@yahoo.com or 269-341-1963)

Cost for the tryout is $40 which will be collected upon online registration. A $500 season deposit (if the player is selected for either team) will be set up to be collected on May 1st as part of the online registration.

If you are interested in trying out for the LSJ Warriors JV or Varsity teams, you must register online by April 19th.  As noted previously, online registration will also include the immediate collection of the $40 tryout fee and the set up of the automatic collection of the $500 deposit on May 1st via a credit card or debit to your bank account. After the Saturday tryout session, all players needing jerseys, warm ups or pant covers will need to be sized by Hockey Services who will be at The Ice Box. This will be the only time to fit uniforms. Orders will not be completed until the end of June, but sizing will need to be done after the tryout on the 25th.

 


  LSJ WARRIORS SPRING HOCKEY

 

 

Registration for LSJ Warriors Spring Hockey is now open.  To be eligible to participate in Spring Hockey, the player must be a high school student this coming fall.  The Michiana High School Hockey League Spring Hockey season will begin the last week of April with games this year being played on Sunday afternoons.  Teams will play a eight game schedule.  The current schedule for LSJ is:

May 3 @ 3:00pm vs Adams/Marian
May 17 @ 4:15pm vs Penn
May 31 @ 1:45pm vs St. Joe
June 7 @ 1:45pm vs Riley
June 14 @ 1:45pm vs Penn
June 21 @ 3:00pm vs Adams/Marian

June 28 @ 3:00pm vs Valpo

 

Games will be played at The Ice Box in South Bend.

Cost for Spring Hockey is $125 and will be collected upon online registration.

2015-16 LSJ WARRIORS COACHES ANNOUNCED

 

 

 

The BAHA Board is pleased to announce that John Koehler will be the new head coach of the LSJ Warriors Varsity hockey team, replacing Marty McGrath who announced at the start of the season that this past season would be his last as head coach.  Prior to this new position as head coach of the LSJ Varsity, John Koehler was an assistant coach on Marty McGrath's Varsity coaching staff.  The BAHA Board is excited to have John as the new LSJ Warriors Varsity head coach and look forward to building on the success of the Warriors hockey program.

The BAHA Board is also pleased to announce that current LSJ JV head coach, Dave Mitchell, will come back for a third year as head coach of the JV team.

 

The BAHA Board would also like to thank Caoch Marty McGrath for his many successful years leading the LSJ Warriors Varsity hockey team.

 

For those interesting in trying out for one of the LSJ Warriors teams for the upcoming season, please note that this season tryouts will be held on two days and those interested are expected to attend both dates.  Tryouts will be held on:

  • Wednesday, April 22nd - 5:30pm to 7:00pm
  • Saturday, April 25th - 3:00pm to 5:00pm
