ILLEGAL BATS
To All NEPL Coaches:
The NEPL would like to thank all the coaches that have taken what we talked about at the coaches meetings seriously on the issue of illegal bats and not allowing them into play, WE THANK YOU. Now, for the few that still think they are above the rules and continue to use ILLEGAL bats let this be your finial warning, as of this E-Mail every umpire has been instructed when checking bats to let us know who has them on their sidelines, there will be NO discussion Head Coaches, you will receive a 1 game suspension.
With that said once again there is to be NO COMPOSITE BATS OR HANDLES, NO TWO PIECE BATS AND NO DOUBLE WALL BATS all Softball bats MUST be stamped ASA 2004 and up
We have also found bats that are being made by Anderson Bat Mfg. that do not stamp their bats Double Wall, two of these bats(the ROCKETECH and TECHZILLA) are double wall bats or as the Mfg. said a Multi Wall bats they are illegal..
CANCELLATION OF GAMES:
NO GAME MADE BE CANCELED BETWEEN COACHES!!!!
Once the schedule is made, distributed, and the season starts, a team must give (72) Hour Notice to cancel a scheduled game for one or more of the aforementioned events.(See Rule Book)
If the request is not made within the noted time frame, the team will take a forfeit.
Your respective League Division Director will be the contact person.
No game may be canceled without prior approval of the Division Director and the Commissioner
