CONGRATULATIONS to our new Street Hockey National Champions! Penguin A, Penguin B, Beaver A, Beaver Black and Freshman A!! Our Penguin A team hasn't lost a game yet and is now 29 and 0! A special CONGRATULATIONS to Beaver Black, champions of the Beaver C Division! And CORRECTION, another special congratulations to the PENGUIN Black team who competed in the B division, finished first in points and made it all the way to the B division finals! Nice job also by our Beaver B and Cadet B teams who made it to the finals! An awesome showing by our Bellmawr teams - we are so proud of all of you!

Four members of the Bellmawr freshman team have been selected to play for the Team USA Ball Hockey team that will compete at the World Junior (U20) Championship in Villach, Austria in June. Joey Trapani, Andrew Mucerino, Matt Wagner, and Eric Zimmerman will be representing Team USA in the international tournament that runs from June 22 through June 26. Team USA will vie for ball hockey's ultimate prize - a gold medal at the World Championships and will be up against teams that include Austria, Germany, and Slovakia. Other members of Team USA are from the Penn Hills, Team Pitt, and Leominster hockey clubs. Bellmawr's own Andrew Mucerino has been named the captain for Team USA. Be sure to give the boys some encouragement as they travel to take on the world's best in Austria.!
West Deptford will be having the Freshmen division this coming season! Below is the information and registration dates for any kids interested in playing in the Freshmen league (Ages 16-19 yrs old). All registrations are held at the Riverwinds Community Center in the main lobby. Cost-$80.00 per player.
All games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 9:00pm

Four members from South Jersey have been selected to play for the Team USA Ball Hockey team that will compete at the Canadien (U17) National Championships in Waterloo / Kitchener, ON, Canada from July 29 through August 1. Eric Zimmerman and Justin Romano from Bellmawr, Johnny Ruiz from Monroe (who has also played for Bellmawr in Tournanments before), and Kyle Lafferty from Monroe. Good luck boys!

This is the most competitive season we've seen in a long time, with a bunch of nail biters in the playoff rounds! Honorable mention to Beaver A and Cadet B teams who played great but lost one goal heartbreakers in the semi's and special recognition to our Penguin Black team who had a great tournament, advancing to the finals against our Penguin B team! Congratulations to our Penguin B team for winning the Penn Hills Father's Day tournament! Our Cadet B team also had a great tournament but lost a heartbreaker in overtime in the finals - great job boys and girls!
Congratulations to our Penguin A team on winning the 2009 Maple Leaf Cup in Niagara Falls, Canada. We beat the home team, Niagara Falls 6-1 in the finals to take the cup! Great job boys!

Terrific outing by all the Bellmawr teams at the Monroe Township Tournament. All 6 teams made the finals, with the Penguin A & B, the Beaver B, and the Cadet A & B teams winning championships.

The Bears had a good showing in the first Tournament of the season. All 6 of our teams made the Mays Landing semi-finals, with the Penguin B and Cadet A teams advancing to the championship games in their divisions. Four of our teams suffered tough losses in overtime during the playoff round. Congratulations to the Penguin B team for bringing home the First Place trophy!!!

Congratulations to the Bellmawr Penguin & Beaver teams for winning the first ever USA Cup in their respective divisions at DisneyWorld's Wide World of Sports. Both teams went undefeated during the tournament. Also, great job by our boys playing for the EHT Cadet team, which lost a very tough game in the Cadet championship.

The Bellmawr Bears family can be very proud of the performance and sportsmanship that our 3 teams displayed in the U.S. National Dek Hockey Tournament in Leominster, Massachusetts this past weekend. All 3 of our teams beat some pretty good competition on the road to the tournament finals. South Jersey street hockey in general was well represented in the tournament, with 5 out of the 6 "A" teams in the finals being NSHA members.
Congratulations to the Cadet A team for capping off a perfect 40 - 0 season, with their second consecutive U.S. National Dek Hockey Championship. Just a note of interest, this group of Cadet players had a combined record of 118 - 1 for their Penguin, Beaver, and Cadet years. It is also the first time that the same group of players from any organization won the U.S. Nationals in every division. A pretty amazing feat and a tribute to the time, hard work, and dedication that the coaches, players, & parents of the Bellmawr Bears Street Hockey Association have become known for!

Great job by the Bellmawr Freshman team at the EHT Tournament over the weekend. The very young Bellmawr team held their own in this tournament against teams consisting of mostly 18 & 19 year olds, losing in a tough semifinal game to eventual champion EHT.
