Youth Spring Girls Volleyball

All registrations are taken at the recreation department located at 37 East Woodrow Ave, Belmont, NC 28012. Normal office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 7pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am - 12pm.

2012 SPRING YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION

AGE GROUPS
A. AGE GROUPS:
Diggers – cannot turn 12 before and must be 9 by October 15 of the previous year.
Spikers – cannot turn 16 before October 15 of the previous year.
COACHES NEEDED
A. The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach AT THE TIME they register their child.
B. There will be a COACHES ONLY meeting on Monday March 5 at 6:30pm at the recreation dept.
PLAYER EQUIPMENT
A. A player shall not wear anything that is dangerous to another player
B. The players may wear non marking sneakers.
C. Knee pads are strongly suggested.
PRACTICES/GAMES
A. Practices will be held at the Belmont Middle School Gym. Games will be played at Belmont Middle, Mt Holly, Lowell, Cramerton, and the Bradley Center.
B. Practice/Draft will be on Thursday March 15. The Diggers will start at 6pm and the Spikers at 7:30pm.
C. Teams will be divided up at the first practice. Practice/Games will start as early as 6pm and will normally be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Belmont. The other locations may be on different days.
D. Game will begin the week of April 16.
E. Requests can be made but are NOT guaranteed.
FEES
A. The registration fee covers the players’ shirt, shorts, scorekeepers, gym maintenance, accessories, and equipment cost. The fee DOES NOT include a trophy, banquet, or knee pads.
B. The registration fee is $35 in-city and $60 out-of-city.
C. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops out after this point, all items will be forfeited.
Please help us keep the facilities clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
