BELMONT PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
2014 FALL YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION
A. AGE GROUPS:
Diggers – cannot turn 12 before and must be 9 by September 1 of the current year.
Spikers – cannot turn 16 before September 1 of the current year
A. The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed.
B. There will be a COACHES ONLY meeting on Thursday August 7 at 6pm at the recreation dept.
A. A player shall not wear anything that is dangerous to another player
B. The players may wear non marking sneakers.
C. Knee pads are required.
A. Practices will be held at the Belmont Middle School Gym or Foursquare Gym. Games could be played at Belmont Middle, Mt Holly, Lowell, Cramerton, and the Bradley Center.
B. Practice/Draft will be on Tuesday August 12 at Belmont Middle School Gym. The Diggers will start at 6pm and the Spikers at 7:30pm.
C. Teams will be divided up at the first practice. Practice/Games will start as early as 6pm and will normally be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Belmont. The other locations may be on different days.
D. Game will begin the week of September 8.
E. One request can be made but is NOT guaranteed.
A. The registration fee covers the players’ shirt, shorts, scorekeepers, official, gym maintenance, accessories, and equipment cost. The fee DOES NOT include a trophy, banquet, or knee pads.
B. The registration fee is $50 in-city and $75 out-of-city.
C. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops out after this point, all items will be forfeited.
Please help us keep the facilities clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
