2011 8U COYBL Champions
The Columbus Big Katz were champions of the 2011 COYBL 8U Division. The Katz compiled a 12-2 record and scored a league leading 227 runs.
Big Katz to Participate in Labor Day Parade
The Columbus Big Katz will be participating in the 2011 Pickerington Labor Day Parade! The parade starts at 10:00 a.m.. Be sure to arrive early so that you can get a good seat to watch the Katz as they display their orange and purple pride!
First Big Katz 3-on-3 Tourney a Big Success!!!
The Columbus Big Katz hosted their 1st annual Big Katz 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 5 at Etna Elementary School. The aim of the event was to gather funds to support the 12U Big Katz trip to Cooperstown in June. The Panthers team of Mitchell Davis, Dondre Palmer, Mitchell Smith and Jimmy Weirick took home the championship. They went undefeated for the day and completed their run with a victory over the runner-up Predators team, made up of Ethan Kenyon, Garth Medors, Matthew Smith and Cooper Vest. The Bloom Carroll Gold team won the lower bracket championship, going 3-1 on the day. The team consisted of Austin Gaulden, Justin Harvey, Jacob Peters and Cole Williams. In addition to the 9-team tournament, the event included skills competitions in free throw and 3-point shooting. Tyler Ruff won the free throw competition and Frankie Weirick won for 3-point shooting. It was a great event that was made possible by the work of committed volunteers, generous sponsors and great group of participants!

The 2011 12U Big Katz are very appreciative of everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. The funds raised through these raffles are providing support for the 12U Big Katz to attend the 104-team tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park next summer. Congratulations to the winners!!!
