Blues Outnumbered 2:1, Beat Thunder 7-11

Only 9 Blues players were able to make Saturday's game thanks to work schedules/promotions and players out of town and took on 18 Thunder players to win 7-11 in grand (bad news bears) style with both teams making mental and throwing errors.
For the Blues, #12 R. Weston went 3-4 with a 3 RBI triple in the 2nd, #8 K. Striklin went 2-4 with a triple and a SB from the leadoff spot. #17 J. Ousley had 3 walks and scored 3 times. #2 D. Adams went 5 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. #31 A. Reed picked up the save in relief as the game was called for time as the Blues were batting in the bottom of the 6th.
Blues Take Doubleheader

Blues walkoff against Blacksox for win #2 on the season. #18 K. Katzenberger went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and was a triple away from the cycle with a 3-run walkoff HR in the bottom of the 7th to win it. Starter #9 C. Potthast went 5 innings in his first start for the Blues and gave up 4 runs (2 ER) on 4 hits for a no-decision. #1 T. Lavely (1-0) got the win in relief, striking out 3 in 2 innings. Offensively for the Blacksox, #18 Blum went 2-4 with a 2 RBI double in the 5th.
Blues outslugged Mavericks 10-9 for 3rd win of season. #12 R. Weston of the blues got the win pitching 4 innings and striking out 4, he struck out the side in the 3rd. Weston also added a solo shot in the 1st offensively. #9 C. Potthast went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs from the 10-spot and #18 K. Katzenberger went 3 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored, and also pitched in relief for a 6-out save.

The Whitesox jumped all over 2012 all-star Blues starter #12 R. Weston (0-1), scoring 7 runs in the first inning including a grand slam by #00 Boyle. The Blues got on the scoreboard by a solo HR by #18 K. Katzenberger in the 4th, who went 2 for 3 in the game. Katz also had an outfield assist in the 6th inning gunning down #12 O'Brien trying to go 1st to 3rd that helped Blues reliever #29 J. Harvey pitch a scoreless inning.
Blues Start Season Strong

The Big River Blues two hit the Blacksox18 10-3 to earn their first win of season. Lindenwood alum #2 D. Adams of the Blues pitched 4.2 innings of 3 run ball (0 ER) allowing two hits, 3 walks, while striking out 3 with a pickoff of #21 Blum of the Blacksox in the 2nd inning. #5 C. Dorsey (1.1 inn) and #12 R. Weston (1 inn) shut down the rest of the Blacksox lineup in relief. Offensively #8 K. Stricklin of the Blues went 3 for 3 with two BB, three SB, 2 RBIs and three runs scored from the leadoff spot. #7 C. Mabb went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs.
