Blitzkrieg 2008 Coed C Weekday Champions/Sunday League Runner Up
Congrats to Blitzkrieg for winning the 2008 Coed C Championship, and finishing Runner Up in the 2008 Sunday League. The team managed a comeback vs. Wildwood winning 18-15 in the Weekday League to capture the crown. MVP's for the game were Bud and Heather respectfully. The team finished 19-1 overall. This mark was the best record of any champion within Andy's Sports Bar/All American Sports and Recreation League in 2008. A .950 winning percentage which is also a team record. The team also set records in Run Differance for a season with (220 runs) scoring 347 vs. 127 over the Weekday season.
The team also managed to make it to the Sunday League Championship for a 2nd straight season. The team kept it close however eventually bowing out to their old rivals (Dirty Bucs) 8-5.
Overall this years summer teams combined for a 30-3 overall record between two seasons (Weekday 19-1, Sunday 11-2). Overall for the 2008 season, Blitzkrieg went 37-8 with the Fall Season. Again, a team record in overall wins and winning percentage. The team fell short of making it a 4th straight appearance in the Fall Division Finals. Great job Kreig!!

Congrats to the 2007 Fall League Blitzkrieg team for finishing with a team best 11-2 record and making a 3rd straight appearance in the division finals. The Krieg won their first round match up vs. Chestertown with the score of 17-5. In the second round match up the Krieg played their old rivals Team Fred. Team Fred had the early lead 11-7 till and offensive explosion in the bottom of the 6th inning. Solid defence and pitching sealed the victory 19-11. With the win the Krieg made a 3rd straight appearance to the division finals. Unfortanetly this year the team was unable to get past a pesky Palasis Royale team loosing 16-22. The team down by as many as 12 runs never gave up and kept swinging till the very end. This years team also set some personal records in runs scored in one season (269); which lead the league for the second straight year. This is the first Blitzkrieg team to average over 20 runs a game (20.69) in softball which is unheard of by todays standards. Congrats to everyone on a great season as Blitzkrieg combined for a total of a 31-10 record since the beginning of the Summer, Sunday, and Fall seasons. One of which included the Sunday League Championship. Great job guys!!

ATSPub/Blitzkrieg Wins 1st Annual Sunday League Championship

ATSPub won the 1st ever Sunday League Championship this past Sunday by knocking off # 1 seeded and undefeated Dirty Pirate Hookers 11-8 in the final round of the single elimination tournament. ATSP won the first game of the day 22-2 vs. BullEx. ATSP then drew 2nd seeded Gym Class Heros and defeated them behind a score of 9-2. Down 2-7 late in the game ATSP rallied behind clutch pitching by Tracy, solid defense behind Dale, Shawn, Bud and Staci, and behind a game tieing 2 run homerun by Rob to make it 7 even. An inning lead off double by Bud and clutch hitting by Mike W, Lindsay, Brandi, Cohen, and the rest of the team finalized the victory. ATSP won the tournament with an outstanding 42-12 run differance in 3 games. The team finished the season 8-2 overall, 5-2 in season play. Congrats on an amazing season and bringing home the first title of the Blitzkrieg era.

2006 Andy's Fall National Division Champions

Congrats to Blitzkrieg for finishing National Division Champions and Co-Ed C Runner Up for the Fall 2006 season. This years record breaking team was lead by Bud Belding (.811 Avg), Gary Bosko (19 hr), Chad Dukes, Deb Hollner, Lauren Frank, Jen Place, Tracey Mirable, Kaitlyn Thibedo, George Powers, Mike Connelly, Dennis King, Pat Mahar, Greg Cooper, Bridget Driver, and of course your team captains. Blitzkrieg managed to post team best records in both the summer (11-6) and fall (10-3). The team finished in the top 5 in offensive scoring both seasons (32 teams summer, 20 teams fall), and managed to hold opponents to a team best, 8.7 runs a game during the fall. Congrats to everyone who played this year. Great job guys!!
