    BATTLE ON THE BLUFF


    Welcome to the 1st ANNUAL BLUES CITY YOUTH FOOTBALL CLASSIC in beautiful Memphis,TN. We welcome all youth football organizations to particpate in our INAUGURAL 2009 BLUES CITY YOUTH FOOTBALL CLASSIC, LABOR DAY WEEKEND (SEPT.4-6,2009). What better way than to start your season off facing some of the top teams/talents in youth football. Get your bragging rights by taking HOME one of our 1ST,2ND OR 3RD Place trophies given out for each age bracket. This low cost tournament($175.00) will be FAIR, SAFE, COMPETITIVE, and Memorable to players ,coaches,and parents alike. NOTE WE WILL WORK AROUND JAMBOREE SCHEDULES.




    To enter you must send in ALL PAPERS which include registration form, fee, and your league roster, no exceptions. The DEADLINE is August 24, 2009. So please contact us for registration forms as soon as possible.


    1.Age cut-off is August 1st. All paper work must be complete and sent in one week from your registration form. NO FAXED DOCUMENTS.

    2.You need your league roster, league verification book and a copy of your birth certificates. Any player that does not have a birth certificate and not on a league roster will not be allowed to play. Only players of your league will be allowed to play. We need a copy of all league rosters that you pick-up players from. All teams MUST have legal proofs of age. (Birth Certificate, Shot Records, etc.)

    At check-in, your papers MUST be in numerical order. This will keep the line moving.

    All players will be checked at every game, they will have their band, helmet and roster list so players must dress so we can verify their anklet before each game. Any player with no anklet will not be allowed to play. Any anklet that looks altered with, the player will sit out. If a player anklet is missing or breaks, please bring him and your papers back to the administrator site.

    PAPER WORK

    1. ALL PAPER WORK MUST BE COMPLETED, if not you could be bumped. No faxed documents will be accepted. E-mail or mail copies only. Your roster can be changed with a player from your league as long as we get that team roster, up until August 31, 2009.

    2. Teams can check in Saturday beginning at 7:00 am or 2 hours prior to 1st game.

    3. IF YOU ARE FOUND FALSIFYING BIRTHDATES YOUR ORGANIZATION WILL BE ELIMINATED. You will not be allowed to play in the tournament. This will be closely monitored.

    4. Game times will be posted September 1st. Make sure you understand this is a two game guarantee.

    5. Admission is $5.00 per day. Kids 5 years or under are FREE

    6. We ask all teams to have at least 15 players. But there is no maximum. You can receive a max of three coach’s passes per age group/division. You can bring cheerleaders and cheer coach will receive a pass.

    7. Games will be played under TSSAA rules, with exceptions listed in rules. General High School scoring and substitution rules are used .

    All games will have four (4) 8 minute quarters with running clock and regular clock stoppage on scores, timeouts and last 2 minutes of each half. There will be a 2 minute break between quarters and a 5 minute halftime.

    Only coaches in the 7/8 divisions are allowed on the field. All other division coaches must remain on the sidelines. Coaches and players on the sidelines must remain between the 25 yard markers.

    In all Divisions, ball will be spotted on the 25 yard line or walked. No punt or kick-offs for any division.

    7/8 Divisions: 1. Unlimited: No max weight limit on lineman
    105 lbs on skill positions



    9U Divisions: 1. Unlimited: No max weight limit on lineman
    115 lbs on skill positions


    10U Divisions:
    1. Unlimited: No max weight limit on lineman
    125 lbs on skill positions

    11U Divisions:
    1. Unlimited: No max weight limit on lineman
    135 lbs on skill positions


    12U Divisions: 1. Unlimited: No max weight limit on lineman 145 lbs on skill positions
