Fall 2019 Registration

Opening July 2019

 

 

Please read completely before registering, as important changes have been made

 

Registration for the Fall 2019 season will take place via this site and is open until August 11, 2019. A predetermined maximum number of players has been set for each age division based on coach availability.  Once this number has been reached interested players will go on a waiting list.  If there are enough players on the waiting list for any particular division, and a coach becomes available, we will form an additional team.

 

Our club depends a great deal on volunteers.  If you are the parent of a player and would like to coach please let us know and we can make arrangements to ensure you have a team to coach or be an assistant coach.

 

COSTS

Registration fees may be paid via online registration or In-person by cash or check on a specified date/time/location prior to season start. In-person payment times and locations will be posted.  The costs are as followed:

$25 Club Fee for ALL players.

$50 for New Uniforms

The fees above DO NOT include the purchase of white soccer socks. 


The fees above DO NOT INCLUDE trophies or photos.  Medals are provided by Bombers Soccer Club at the end of the season. Professional photos are offered during the season, at additional cost. Additional trophies may be determined by parents/coaches/teams, but will not be covered by the club. 

The fees above also DO NOT INCLUDE the cost of obtaining a players card from the Guam Football Association (GFA).

 

ALL players need an official GFA players card to compete in weekly games.  GFA player cards are good for one calendar year beginning in January.  This card can be obtained at the GFA office on Harmon Loop in Dededo (see venues/directions tab on left).  New cards cost $50.00 and the player must be present when getting this card as it is a photo I.D.  If your player has never received a player card before be sure to bring either his/her birth certificate or passport for proof of age.  ALL PLAYERS MUST OBTAIN A GFA PLAYER CARD BEFORE MATCHES ARE PLAYED.  

 

Your players coach will provide you the GFA form, do not go to GFA direct to purchase the card.  They will turn you away if you do not have a form from the Bombers SC.

Registration cutoffs will be adhered to: we have deadlines as a club and accepting late registration may cause uniforms to arrive late and causes an unnecessary burden for our club volunteers.

 

The final day for Fall 2019 registration is August 11, 2019 

 

Divisions are determined by the year in which your child was born and are as followed for the Spring 18 season:

Divisions and age groups are assigned by GFA. 

Under 6:  2013, 2014

Under 8:  2011, 2012

Under 10:  2009, 2010

Under 11: 2008

 

 

 

The number of teams for each age division will be determined by player registration numbers and coach availability.

 

In organizing and running youth sports it is imperative that we have proportionate teams.  Having too many players on a team hinders the player growth and can negatively impact individual players.  Having larger than recommended teams makes the job of coaching even more challenging.  Our goal is to offer our players, parents, and coaches the best soccer experience possible.  With these rosters we are hoping to achieve a great balance in more personalized coaching and playing time for the players.

PRACTICES

Training is tentatively scheduled to begin early September and should tentatively take place twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:00pm – 6:30 pm, depending on age/division  However, practice schedules can vary due to coach availability and field availability. U6 through U8 will practice at the field next to Andersen Gateway Inn – corner of Santa Rosa & Davis.  U10 and above will practice on the Andersen Middle School football/soccer field.  Access to Andersen AFB is a requirement for participation on the Bombers Soccer Club. 

 

Players will need soccer cleats, shin guards, soccer socks, and an appropriate size soccer ball.  Ball size is based on division: U6 = size 3, U8 - U13 = size 4

 

GAMES

Weekly games (held in Dededo at the Guam Football Association - GFA fields) areTENTATIVELY scheduled to start late September and run consecutively for 10 weeks. Please note the availability of the schedule for the season is completely dependent on GFA and when all clubs have their team information available to GFA.  Games are on Saturdays and can begin as early at 8:00am and are expected to end around 4:00pm.  ALL TEAMS will also participate in the end of season Jamboree that will follow the last week of games.
