Hello and greetings from Somerset Hunterdon Babe Ruth Baseball,
Since our inception in 2008, SHBR league has experienced much success and has attracted attention and inquiries from other neighboring programs interested in 16/18 baseball. Our league is chartered by Babe Ruth Inc. and our charter encompasses all of Somerset and Hunterdon counties.
2012 Spring Season Highlights
• The 2012 spring season will be an all wood bat league.
• 14 Game regular season schedule starting on or about April 2nd, 2012. Each team will host 7 home games.
• Registration deadline for the spring season will be March 1st, 2012.
• Single game elimination playoffs, starting in early June 2012
• Entry fee per team is $250 with a maximum roster size of 18 players.
• Each team is responsible for their own equipment, uniforms & baseballs.
• Each team must provide proof of insurance. Optionally insurance may be purchased from Babe Ruth, Inc.
• Home teams must provide 2 carded umpires for each of their 7 home games and baseballs.
• Umpires costs for playoff games will be split between the playing teams.
• Somerset Hunterdon Babe Ruth encourages that you include 16/18 Babe Ruth baseball in your spring registrations, and hope you make this level of play available to all residents in your town.
