2012 Player Clinic
June 19, 2012 – 09:30 AM
Creighton University Assistant Baseball Coach Craig Moore, along with current and former Bluejay players, will be conducting a youth baseball All-Skills Camp in your area for players aged 6-12 years. The “All-Skills Camp” will cover technique/fundamental development in the following areas: hitting, base-running, throwing, pitching, catching, infield, and outfield play.
The morning session of camp (9:30 am – Noon) will begin with a proper warm-up period before any type of activity is started. Camp participants then will jump right into a throwing program to get loose. After the throwing program has been complete, campers will break into 4 groups and go thru a rotation of stations that will cover all defensive positions (each camper will get a chance to work at each position). After a brief lunch break, we will begin the afternoon session (hitting and station work) with a hitting lecture to cover the main aspects of the swing. Campers then will be divided into small hitting groups that will cover tee work, soft toss, front side toss, and on-field hitting. Also included in the offensive portion of camp will be a base-running station, so that campers can learn the proper techniques used to run the bases efficiently.
