The Clovis Bullets are an organization dedicated to the DEVELOPMENT of softball players. The Bullets are chosen from young ladies who participate in the Clovis Recreational Softball Program each spring. We have traditionally fielded teams in the U10, U12, U14, and U16 and many of our teamns have qualified for the ASA WESTERN NATIONALS over the last 22 YEARS!
Selection of the teams is based upon player tryouts.

Why B Ball?
-
"A" ball versus "B" ball
As you may or may not know, "B" Division All-Star teams differ from "A" ball in many ways. Classically "A" level softball teams play year-round, and provide today's one-sport athlete with an avenue to develop their skills non-stop. The focus is on competitiveness and winning and travel can be extensive. Playing time is significantly reduced for all but the core level players. Although "A" level teams can develop into "super-teams" and provide exceptional attention to positional player development, the proliferation of these independent teams have served to dilute many local area programs. Some "A" teams are now even setting up "developmental" second teams.
Other issues of note with "A" level teams - many school districts have begun to adapt concurrent rules about participating in two similar programs at the same time. "A" players may not be eligible to participate in intermediate and high school level programs. This mandate is currently applicable within the Clovis Unified School District.
"B" level programs are historically aligned with recreational programs and allow for the development of competitive All-Star softball programs within a window that runs typically May through July. The "B" teams developed by the Clovis Bullets focus on development and competitiveness and FUN!. Yes, we said it - "FUN"!
It is important to note - "B" level programs are indeed high level All-Star programs and try-outs are required. "B" level teams simply allow more flexibilities for players and their families and truly provide for a "field of dreams" for those developing players looking for an avenue to take their game to the next level.
