WHO IS THE FREDERICK CADET YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION?
FCYAA is a community based organization developed to provide the Frederick High School and Governor Thomas Johnson High School with a youth feeder program for it's athletic programs.
FCYAA has been an integral part of the Frederick community since 2008 and we are apart of the Mountain Valley Youth Football League (MVFYL).
We offer football and cheerleading programs for
Flag, Mini Pony, Pony, Junior Varsity and Varsity.
Registration for 2016 is NOW OPEN and we are looking forward to an extraordinary 8th year! We have the most amazing team of coaches and volunteers and the BEST PLAYERS in our program!

2016 Registration Fees:
Football and Cheer
Ages: 5-6 $100
Ages: 7-14 $150
**Sibling discount offered for more than 2 participants from the same family**
Birth Certificate and insurance card are required for each participant
Registration fees are non refundable as of August 15th
Cash or money order only, no checks
**Refunds will be issued until 08/01/2016. There is a $75 administrative fee netted out of all processed refunds **
When and where are practices?
All practices are held at Hill Street Park- 100 Hill Street, Frederick
Flag: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm
All other levels:
Summer Schedule: Monday thru Thursday (5:45pm-8pm)
Fall Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday (5:45pm-8pm)
Flag: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00-7pm
All other levels: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-7:30pm
What is the cost to attend sporting events?
$1.00 donation, per person or $3 donation per family (this includes adults, children ages 3 and up and senior citizens)
**Board members, coaches, football players and cheerleaders are exempt from the donation**
Are parents/guardians expected to volunteer?
YES! FCYAA is a 100% Volunteer organization. ALL families of participants are expected to volunteer for 2 home game duties during the season.
Volunteer activities include but are not limited to: Concessions, gate/ticket booth, chain crew, clock, spirit wear, and /or clean up.

Inclement Weather Policy
Hill Street Park and McCurdy Field (our home field for games) are governed by the City of Frederick; therefore, we follow their decisions regarding field closures when practices and/or games are held in these locations.
We will make every effort to notify parents/guardians of cancellations due to inclement weather at least 1 hour prior to the start of the scheduled practice/game. Please keep in mind there may be instances where a determination is made during the scheduled practice/game. You may check the home page of this website or our Facebook page regarding cancellations or you may register to receive text notifications of cancellations.
Precautions for Thunder/Lightening: ALL Football players/Cheerleaders will take shelter, and ALL athletic activity will not resume until 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder or last flash of lightening. If thunder/lightening persist, the practice/game may be cancelled.
