Parents,

This week we start our fall practice schedule.

Tuesday & Thursday ONLY from 5:45pm-8:00pm.

We hope everyone has a great first day back to school.

Our first set of home games went very well. Thank you to everyone that pinched in and helped us out. As you can see, it takes a lot of us to make sure the day goes by smoothly. Just a few reminders: the City of Frederick does not permit alcohol, smoking, bicycles, or animals to be brought in, at McCurdy Field.

We will have volunteer sheets available for all home game duties, Tuesday & Thursday during practice so please, stop by and sign up!!!!

Claire's Gourmet has been extended. If you still need to turn paperwork in please, do so by tomorrow evening. No orders will be excepted after 8/26/2014

NFL fundraiser tickets are still available if you would like to purchase any.  Please, see me during practice.

Any questions please, feel free to call or email anytime

Thank you in advance~

FCYAA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Frederick Cadet Youth Athletic Association (FCYAA)?

FCYAA is a community-based organization developed to provide the Frederick High School community with a youth feeder system for its athletic programs.  Each fall, our football and cheerleading programs field flag, mini pony, pony, junior varsity, and varsity teams, if participation allows.  FCYAA is a member of Mountain Valley Youth Football League (MVYFL), and has been in existence since 2008. We also provide a feeder program for  the Governor Thomas Johnson High School community as well.

We will make every effort to notify parents/guardians of cancellations due to inclement weather at least one (1) hour prior to the start of the scheduled practice and/or game; however, there may be instances where a determination must be made during the scheduled practice and/or game.  You may check the home page of this Web site for information regarding cancellations or you may register to receive text notifications of cancellations.

Does it cost to attend my child’s games?

Yes, there is $1.00 donation, per person or a $3.00 donation per family, which applies to adults, children ages 3 and older, and senior citizens.  Board members, coaches, football players and cheerleaders are exempt from the donations.

Are parents/guardians expected to volunteer?

Yes, FCYAA relies on volunteers.  All families of participants are expected to volunteer for (2) home game duties at some point during the season.  Volunteer activities may include, but are not limited to, concessions, gate/ticket booth, chain crew, clock, spirit wear, and/or clean-up.
