Available to girls four and five years of age, the program will serve as a fun introduction to the game of hockey. Girls on Ice will occur weekly from October for 15 sessions be based out of Century Gardens facility. The program will utilize fun focused repetitive drills aimed at developing balance & stability, fundamental skating techniques and a growing on ice confidence with each session. Instructors will use positive re-enforcement to support the development of the participants in an ideal low student to instructor ratio.
Each 50 minute session will start with a team group skate. Participants will be split out into groups to engage in a series of fun individual and team drills focused on developing core hockey requirements. Our progressive development model will allow students to graduate appropriately at their own speed rather than that of other participants. Brampton Canadettes Mission Statement
The main goal of our organization is to provide a safe environment where our girls will be encouraged to be the best they can be. Part of being the best includes not only on-ice performance but performance in the classroom and in their community. We strive to instill the virtues of leadership, self-confidence and sportsmanship in all of our players and volunteers within the organization. The Brampton Canadettes are committed to creating a great hockey experience for all of its players. Our mandate is to teach our players and volunteers valuable lessons through hockey that they can also apply to their lives away from the rink.
