Crush 9, Hornets 4
The Crush (1-0) blew open a close game in the 3rd period, scoring 4 goals en-route to a 9-4 victory over the Hornets. Ryan Conway and Chris Kuzyk led the attack with 4 points each, and Ryan Hayes earned the win with a 31 save effort. For the Hornets (0-1), Matt Snow chipped in two goals, including a nice shorthanded tally, and Nick Snow stopped 32 shots.
Wolfpack 14, Magic Men 6
The Wolfpack (1-0) started strong, scoring 40 seconds into the game, and used a 7 goal 2nd period to win comfortably over the Magic Men (0-1). For the 'pack, the duo of Dan Connolly and Bryan Noland were unstoppable with 15 points. Connor Tremarche earns the win with some solid play and 16 saves. The Magic Men were led by Andrew Nolan, who arrived late to the stat sheet with a 4 goal effort including a natural hat trick late in the 3rd period. Chris Hrivnak stopped 16 shots as well in the loss.
