 Welcome

July 25, 2011
Congratulations
2011 Summer Champions
8-3-0

Congratulations to the Redhawks. The red team pulled out a hard fought victory over Orange Crush with two late goals in the 3rd period to win 10-8. This was the closest championship game we remember seeing in the history of the league, with the Orange team jumping out to a quick lead only to see Red rally and take an 8-5 lead going into the 3rd period. Orange would tie the game 8-8, but Derek Snow drilled home the GW goal with only a few minutes left. Matt Snow converted a defensive zone turnover with a Zdeno Chara like blast with under a minute left to seal the victory.

Thank you to all players for a great season. With a 3 year layoff the league had a good amount of interest and we hope to build on that momentum for next year. In 2008 we had 5 full teams with a waiting list of 10; we certainly expect to get back to that level and beyond.

A full season highlight video is on the way; please make sure to stop by our Facebook group to offer and vote on suggestions for music!

Congratulations and thanks to the following players who played in all 9 regular season games. (and sometimes more as subs)

Ryan Conway
Nick Crowley
Jake Brown
Ryan Hayes
Ryan Silva
Charlie Snow
Derek Snow
Matt Snow
Conor Spilman
Reuben VanWormer

Thanks also to Dylan Brown, Nick Snow, Reuben VanWormer, Brendan Diamond, Ryan Conway, Matt Ryan, Tim Viall, Ryan Hayes, Derek Snow, and the countless others that assisted with scorekeeping, reffing, and video taping this season. The league could not run anywhere near as smoothly without the volunteer contributions from it's players every week.

Good luck to all teams this evening and remember to have fun!

-Adam
