About The Cobras…
The Cecil County Cobras are a 16u select travel baseball team. Our mission is simple...Play hard, Display good sportsmanship, and Play together as a TEAM! The Cobras will play a limited 6 team league schedule in the spring and early summer of 2010 against 16 - 18 year old Babe Ruth teams from Delaware and our goal will be to participate in 6—8 weekend tournaments throughout the year. The Cobras captured the Babe Ruth Maryland State Championship in 2009 playing as a 15u team and performed respectfully in every tournament they entered.  

Cobras Win 2010 Essex Father's Day Tournament

The Cobras stung the competition at the Essex Father's Day Challenge finishing with a record of 5 - 0 over the two day weekend tournament.  The Cobras outscored their competition  71 - 16 overall and defeated a very tough Southern Maryland Pro Select team in the championship game by a score of 13 - 4.  They were victorious in their semifinal contest against the Easton Bay Hawks cruising to a 19 - 7 win.  The cobras also defeated Dallastown (York, Pa.) twice 12-0 & 7-0 and beat Spartans Baseball Club 20-5.

Cobras Win The 2010 ECTB Memorial Day Invitational

The Cobras kicked off their 2010 campaign by capturing the ECTB Memorial Day Invitational championship.  The field consisted of teams from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and New York.  A combination of rock solid defense, outstanding pitching and explosive bats allowed the team to dominate the field.

Cobras Capture 2009 State Babe Ruth Title

The Cobras captured the Babe Ruth 2009 Maryland State Champions Title. A great weekend of baseball with contributions from all players led the team to this pennant.  The team went on to compete in the Mid Atlantic Regionals in Saugerties, New York and finished just out of the playoffs with a record of 2-2 in bracket play.
2008 BPA Bash At The Bay Champions
The Cecil County Cobras dominated the field to claim the title in the 2008 BPA Bash at the Bay in Prince Frederick, Md. The Cobras claimed yet another number 1 seed after bracket play on Saturday in just their 3rd tourney of the year. The Cobras have compiled a record of 8-2 in tourney action thus far this year while also claiming the number 1 seed in Olney over Memorial Day weekend. In their other outing, the Cobras finished in 5th place out of 20 teams in a very strong Triple Crown Sports field.

The Cobras captured their second tournament championship in as many weekends and became the two time defending champs of the Harford County Travel Baseball Summer Classic. The Cobras defeated the Emmorton Eagles in the semifinal game by a score of 9-1. In the final, the Cobras beat a very tough Baltimore Blueclaws team by a score of 11-1. Taylor Korn earned MVP honors for the weekend picking up the win on the mound in the semifinal and coming through with a few big hits on Sunday. Shane Muller got the win in the final game and also contributed big at the plate.

2008 Harford County Travel League Champions

The Cobras claimed the 2008 Harford County Travel Baseball League title by going undefeated during the regular season and sweeping their way through the playoffs. In the playoffs, the Cobras defeated White Marsh, Forest Hill and Hickory.

In other action, the Cobras placed 3rd at both the Babe Ruth State Tournament and the BPA State Tournament over back to back weekends in July. In both events, the Cobras advanced to the semifinal round with only nine players before being eliminated.
