2012 13 and 15 year old All Star Tournaments
June 21, 2012
This is a reminder to all potential all star candidates. Please be aware that if you are selected for the 13 year old or the 15 year old Carlstadt/East Rutherford all star team you must make a decision about your availability during the tournament dates. The final dates of the start of the tournaments has not been finalized as of yet. All 13 year old tournament games will be played in Lodi. All 15 year old tournament games will be played in Lyndhurst. In past seasons, the tournaments began between June 21 and June 28. They continue as long as the team continues to win games. This can go on into July or not depending on the teams success.
This is something to think about when teams are picked. Depending on the feed back from parents and players, this will determine if we field teams this year for the all star tournaments. If you have any doubts about your availability or COMMITMENT, please do not participate. The coaches put a lot of time and effort into this and we don,t, as a community, want to pay an entry fee and schedule practices just to have the teams fall apart. Remember before your decisions, this is a COMMITMENT with practices or games everyday.

Congatulations to the CER Pirates for getting off the snide and putting one into the win column by defeating Little Ferry Bluebird 12 to 4. This may be their first but it will NOT be their last.Go get them Pirates!!
THAAAAAAAAAAA Yankees Win!!

The Yankees put on an awesome offensive display on Saturday afternoon in Wood-Ridge to spank the Graycliffs and turning them from gray to black and blue.The Yanks hope to continue their winning ways tomorrow at Little Ferry against Little Ferry Stans starting at 4:15 pm. Everyone 13 years of age and under accompanied by an adult will get NOTHING while supplys last.

13 Year Olds - Team Assignments
The 13 year old team will be called the Cardinals. During their first practice this past Thursday, coaches form the 14/15 year old teams evaluated and assigned the 13 year old players to their teams to use as call ups. The 13 year old Cardinal team will be their primary team.
On occasion and at the 14/15 coaches discretion, these players may be called upon to practice and play on the Pirate or Yankees teams. The players that get called up will still be expected to play with their Cardinal team.
Schedules between the 14/15 and 13's do not typically conflict.
See "Teams" at left and under County 14/15, there are teams called Yankee Assigned and Pirates assigned. These assignments will carryover into next season and will become your primary teams.
Babe Ruth Bat Regulations
13-15 BASEBALL DIVISION
The bat may not exceed 34” in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8” in diameter. All aluminum/alloy barrel bats and all composite handle (only) aluminum/alloy barrels are allowed. Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed. Wood barrel bats conforming to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are allowed.
