    Our Goal:
January 21, 2008 The goal of Chargers Baseball is to field a team of competitive players that are looking to improve their game each year with the hopes of playing baseball at the next level. We will constantly work on the develpment of our players by stressing fundamentals, work ethic, and a positive attitude.

We will continue to put the team in games and tournaments against the best in the Midwest. This will allow kids to showcase their abilites in front of college coaches and pro scouts. We ensure a workable roster which will enable each player to get considerable playing time throughout the summer. We believe the best way to get better over the summer is with plenty of playing time against good competition in connection with a quality coaching staff that loves working to helping kids reach their full potential.

    WHAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE SAID:
    Coach Golak,

Thanks for all of your time with this past season. What a great expierence! Because of your recomendation, it has worked out well for my son. SIUE is a great fit for him. We appreciate all you have done. Good luck with your future teams.

Hi, Im Jack Olson I was a member of the Naperville Chargers in 2007 the first year of the program. I was able to play baseball with some great guys, and I even keep in contact with many of the guys still today. From my team alone I think they were 10 or 12 of us who went on to play college baseball. That's something a lot of other programs cannot say. The best thing about the Chargers though, may be the help that Derek Golak is willing to give to his players. As a member of the team in 2007 Derek was always keeping things in order making sure all the guys from the team were there on time, and ready to play. Derek Golak though was able to help me unlike any other coach I came across. He was a honest guy who did not lie to me about recruiting. He was able to get me two Division II scholarship offers mid school year just by his connections alone. Ultimately at the end of the day Derek Golak and I were able to sit down and pick out the best school for me. In the spring of 2008 I played baseball NCAA Division II Wisconsin-Parkside and was second on the team in innings pitched and was the number 2 starter. WIthout his help I think I mightve just hung up the cleats, but because of him I was able to play college baseball at a very high level.

    Derek,

Dennis and I wanted to say thank you for speaking highly of Dan to Coach Spiro at Concordia.
He called Dan and wanted to meet with for a visit.
We went today and all went well. We'll keep you posted.
