LEAGUE INFORMATION

THE LEAGUE WAS STARTED IN 1992. MILANESE ALUMINUN (LANDMARK AUTO) DOMINATED THE FIRST FEW YEARS. SINCE THEN PROUDFOOT ROOFING (SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY) HAD WON THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP 14 TIMES BUT MUMMERT'S CONSTRUCTION ARE THE CURRENT LEAGUE CHAMPIONS HAVING WON IN 2011.
THE LEAGUE PLAYS BY THE ASA 10 MAN MODIFIED PITCHING RULE. GAMES ARE SCHEDULED ON MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AT 0630 PM. RAINOUTS ARE MADE UP ON FRIDAY. TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE HAVE THEIR HOME FIELDS IN THE COATESVILLE AND WEST CHESTER AREAS OF CHESTER COUNTY, PA. THE YEAR PLAYERS TURN 50 THEY ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. IN 2012 WE START PLAYING AN 18 GAME SCHEDULE WITH 7 TEAMS ON APRIL 25. THE LEAGUE IS WILLING TO ADD MORE TEAMS AND ALSO MANAGERS WILL PICK UP INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS.
FILES ARE UPDATED PERIODICALLY. IF A FILE HAS A DIFFERENT DATE, THAN THE ONE YOU SAVED, CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE. YOU SHOULD SAVE FILE, IN PLACE OF THE EARLIER VERSION, TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION.
PLAYOFFS 2011
FIRST ROUND
Mummert's Construction defeated American Legion 2 games to 0.
Southern Chester County defeated Coffee Cup 2 games to 0.
Fedor Fabrication defeated B C Sports 2 games to 1.
Semi-finals start on Monday July 25th.
SEMI-FINALS
Both games on Monday stopped by weather.
Southern Chester County vs Fedor Fab
S.C.C. is ahead 7-5 in the bottom of the 6th inning. Game to be completed on Wednesday. The 2nd game will start after completion of 1st game.
S.C.C. wins the resumed game 8-7 in 8 innings. Fedor Fab comes back from down 5 runs to take the next game 8-5.
Monday's game is canceled because of rain. Third game is rescheduled for Wednesday.
S.C.C. wins the 3rd game 13-3. Gary Walton had 3 hits, Jim Cain hits 2 home runs and Norm Smith is the winning pitcher. Jack Douglas and Joe Liberato had 2 hits for Fedor. S.C.C. advances to the finals on Monday.
Fence Sense vs Mummerts Construction
Mummerts is ahead 6-4 in the bottom of the 5th inning. Game to be completed on Wednesday. Fence Sense wins the resumed game 8-7 in 9 innings.
Mummert's takes the 2nd game 12-9.
Mummert's wins the 3rd game 17-5 and advances to the finals on Monday.
Finals
Mummert's vs Southern Chester County
Mummert's wins the 1st game 9-4. Bucky Butcher, Rick Roop, and Joe Williams contributed 3 hits each and Dick Hostetter got the win. For S. C. C. Scott Grimes had 3 hits. Jeff Dunn and Curt Cox added 2 hits each. Norm Smith took the loss. (See Photo Albums "Finals 2011 Game 1")
S.C.C. wins the 2nd game 15-8. Norm Smith, John Daller, and Mercer Jones lead the offense with 3 hits each. Smith was the winning pitcher. For Mummert's Bucky Butcher had 3 hits. Rick Roop and Charley Jelke contributed 2 hits. Dick Hostetter took the loss.
Mummert's takes the 3rd game 7-3. Bucky Butcher, Carlos Vargas, Charlie Jelke, Joe Prekup, and Fernandez lead the offense with 2 hits each. For S. C.C. Curt Cox and Dave Ferron chipped in with 2 hits. Dick Hostetter got the win and Norm Smith took the loss. (See Photo Albums "Finals 2011 Game 3")
Mummert's wins the 4th game 8-7 and are the league champions. They scored a run on Carlos Vargas's hit in the bottom of the 7th to break the tie score in a well played and close game. Joe Precup lead Mummert's with 3 hits and Dick Hostetter was the winning pitcher. Jim Cain led Southern Chester County with 3 hits including a home run. Curt Cox was the losing pitcher.
