Basic tryout information:
August 15, 17, 18, 19 (7-9, 10-12) - both sessions every day are mandatory.
Report to the outdoor track on the FIRST day of tryouts, dressed and ready to participate.
Rules for tryouts:
Submit ALL forms; attend ALL tryouts
Pre-requisites:
Minimum of a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)
Activity Fee must be paid once athlete makes the team.
Required equipment:
Tennis shoes, t-shirt, shorts, cleats, hockey stick, hockey ball, water bottle, snacks
Varsity/Junior Varsity team selection criteria:
Commitment, Attitude, Performance, Coachable
Selection of captains:
Criteria is established and players vote
Selection of post season awards:
Most Valuable Player, Coyote Award and Sportsmanship Awards - Players Vote
Requirements to remain in good standing on the team:
Maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA; follow all Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) and Clarksburg (CHS) team rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
Criteria for earning a letter:
Must remain eligible (2.0 GPA), complete the season, participate in half of scheduled games or more, follow all team policies and CHS Athletic guidelines.
Uniform requirements (practice and games):
Practice uniforms will be worn to all practices, Players are responsible for cleaning and maintaining uniforms and equipment, players must turn in uniforms in a timely manner to the coach at the conclusion of the season.
Transportation:
Provided by MCPS school buses, parents, players or coach.
